Happiness is an inside job
While chatting on BBM I stumbled upon a friends status which read;
‘Happiness is an inside job so stay employed…’
I was like.. Damn! That’s deep.. So had to do some digging!
what is happiness though,
The more you strive and search for happiness the more you overlook the possibility that it is already here
Most times we attach our happiness to things, such as money, getting the best jobs,…

I hope
I get this job I've applied for, I'm sick of being sat at home bored shitless because I've got no money!
Finally Employed!
Yes ladies and gentlemen Drexler Serrato is finally fuckin employed once again!!
I AM OFFICIALLY AN OLD NAVY EMPLOYEE!!
YEAH I am super duper excited and really happy that something really wonderful is finallly happening for me. With what I have been through, this is definitely a blessing. I needed this...to possibly get away from the stress at home, plus I'll be making money :)
This is how it happened:
I walked into Old Navy one day and asked if they were hiring, they said yes and that I should fill up an application online. So I went home and filled an application up and went back to the store the next couple days. I said I applied online, now what is the next step? They said that they have a job screening for employees and that I should come to that meeting. So another couple of days, I went back for the job screening. I was brought into a room where there were about 8 other people there and the hiring manager. All she made us do was basically play this game on her phone that helps describe ourselves. She wanted to see how our personalities were and how we interact with the other job candidates. So we took turns one by one, playing this game while also introducing ourselves as we went along. When it came to me, I turned up my personality and definitely tried my hardest to stand out to the manager. I introduced myself and even made them all laugh multiple times. After we all took our turns, the manager said that we should expect a phone call from her about the next step, which was getting a second one-on-one interview with the store manager. So, we all left and I get home. I didn't expect her to call me right away but I got the phone call from the hiring manager saying that I am getting the second interview on Saturday at 12 in the afternoon.
I wake up this morning and got ready, walked to the store and met up with the hiring manger. She told me to wait for a bit because there are still people being interviewed. So I just wait and walk around the store, and this is sad, but I already saw so many things that I want to buy once I get paid lol...pathetic I know but they had so many nice fall clothes that I want. THEIR FLANNELS are so sexy I can't even. She finally calls me up and brings me to the back where I meet the store manager. She was really nice off the bat and very welcoming. She pulled up my application and pretty much described herself and everything about Old Navy and what they are looking for blahh, blahh, blahh. She asked me questions and put me in different scenarios where she had trouble before in the past. Like for example, how I would deal with a rude customer and what I would do. Things like that. She wanted to make sure that I was the right fit for what they were looking for and that I knew what Old Navy was all about. She asked me about my previous experience and what I would bring to the Old Navy franchise. The whole interview was very calm and I felt very comfortable through it all. She then told me that I should wait for a phone call from the hiring manager to see if I am going to be hired. I shook her hand, thanked her for the time and left. I met up again with the hiring manager before I left and she told me just wait later on in the day for her phone call, so I left.
I went home and at about 4:30 today, I got a phone call from the hiring manager. She told me, "...you are on board." I had to pause for a moment cause I was so anxious and excited that I didn't really believe it at first. I asked her, "wait, I'm hired? I got it?!" She said, "yes, I really loved your personality and the energy that you brought so you will start Monday with me." I said YAYYYY!!! & just kept thanking her. She said come to the store at 8:30 and that I will start training with her. I thanked her again and got off the phone with her. I STARTED JUMPING FOR JOY and kept yelling I GOT IT!!!! LOL it was so crazy and so surreal that it was hard for it to sink in. I am hired at Old Navy.
WHOOOOOO!!! I am so happy and excited :D
I'm employed!!!!!
I got the job at the vet's office! It's full time, and after my probationary period, I even get benefits! I could sing and dance with joy.
I am officially employed!!!
I start training in three days. which means, I have to buy a couple of new polo shirts (because that's what they require), cancel my plans this weekend because i have no idea what my schedule is now for work. Hopefully I'm not all over that place like my brother.
I'm super stoked.
