People "should" do a lot of things. Many don't. If they're not in true community with you, don't beg, don't waste time outlining rules you want "them" to follow... make the rules you need, then hold your line when they come at you crazy. •° We all need to rant sometimes - that's cool. Live long enough, and you'll come across a few imposters, scammers, and drama magnets. These folks can become experts at taking advantage of our desires to be welcoming and compassionate, or seeing our wounds and working our soft places - sometimes they may not even be conscious of the dynamic they perpetuate. •° This is why #boundaries and #intuition are crucial. No matter how much someone has been through, your rules of engagement are yours. You can sympathize with their pain without drowning in their mess. •° Learning to love from a distance will change your life.
