The Crow’s Nest was always a favorite place for people to stop at when on the road, whether its for a bite to eat, gas up, or simply stop and hang out at. It was also where hunters got their bounties so there was always atleast two or three at the road-side diner. This afternoon there were quite a few hunters in the Crow’s Nest, all chatting away until a tall, silver haired stranger dressed all in black leather stepped in. He strode up to the man behind the counter to cash in on the latest bounty. Whispers quickly floated around the diner.
“Who is that man?” “Not a clue. He just showed up about a few weeks ago.”
“This guy is crazy strong, been finishing bounties that everyone else is too scared to take.” “No one is that strong, he can’t be human.”
The stranger had just cashed in on a half million gil bounty on a beast that had killed dozens of hunters before him. He didn’t even have a scratch to show for it, everything about him wasn’t right for this world. Maybe the silver-haired man knew that of himself, which could be why he hasn’t tried to interact more than necessary with people.
Besides the whispers a chirping began to sound in the diner. The silver-haired male turned his bright teal eyes to the ground where a chocobo chick was circling around his feet in excitement. The stranger ordered some food to go and with a quick glance around the diner took his money and food to sit alone on the bench outside. He wasn’t very expressive in his facial features, but his eyes shined with delight as he watched his chocobo chick hopping up to grab each piece of salad he offered it.
