He works out, when no one's looking. Ruby knows the merits of being able to defend yourself (or beat a hasty retreat) in a school full of superpowered students. Keeping fit isn't so much of a problem; trying to get stronger, Ruby declares, makes him sweat too much.
♕ = CHILDHOOD headcanon what a good choice
He has a childhood friend, who was the son of his father's friend. Ruby helped him catch a chameleon for a pet and things hit off from there. The friend had a severe case of asthma, however, and was carted off to another city to recuperate.
✿ = HAPPINESS headcanon
Ruby backs up his loyalty to his friends, often by standing up for them. Oddly enough, doing such an act makes him feel happy, in an 'I-have a friend-close-enough-that-I-would-stick-up-for-them" kind of way.
