Doctors and Paramedics worked two very different sides of the patient caring process but Maria felt it important to try and meet as many people as she could being new to the establishment, it was good manners if little else. With her rounds complete she fell back on an old habit of exploring as much of the hospital as she could, but now she introduced herself to people along the way. This would be a permanent place for her now, people could know who and what she was.
Turning a corner she came across a young looking woman who by way of her dress she recognised as an EMT. Looking at her with a smile on her face Maria spoke, “Good afternoon, I don’t think we’ve had the pleasure,” she pulled a hand from her lab-coat and held it out, “Maria, I’ve only been here a few days and I’m trying to meet as many people as I can.” she explained with a small nod.
