i think it was the right thing to do because it ensures that she learns that if shes not okay with something it's up to her to try and change it since parents aren't always gonna be there every time something goes wrong, my mom raised me the same way she always told me "go and try to fix the problem yourself and then if they dont listen I'll talk to them"

As someone who grew up with my mother not even giving me a choice to fix things my myself (even going behind my back and doing it) I think you did the right thing. I'm 28 and I'm still suffering from my mother controlling and taking care of everything for me
that was my reasons i really don't want her to rely on me i won't be there for her all the time (even tho i want to ;;;3;;;;) actually i should have done it way before but as i said parenting is hard ugh ><
