Hi, so I am in a bit of a down mood, I posted my fics a few days ago and basically it has the same title of a very know fic (it’s none of yours) and I’ve had so many nasty anons come onto my blog claiming I have copied the author of the other fic. Our two fics has completely different themes for starters and they are about different members. The only thing that is the same about them is the name. Am I in the wrong for having the same name? What’s your opinion on fics sharing the same name?
i personally don't think it warrants getting hate over it especially if the concepts are different. if it was the same title and same theme it would be one thing but just sharing a title????? nah man. lots of authors take inspiration and shit from existing titles or use regular ass words they find in the dictionary.
it's certainly not wrong to do it in my opinion, especially because it's literally just fucking fanfiction lmao. it's not like you're making money off of it or anything lol.
i'm sorry you're having to deal with that, people are genuinely just ridiculous and they really need to go outside.
i certainly hope the author isn't condoning the behavior or complaining about it themselves because that's just fuckin mad. smh.
