AKA grass-leaf hakea or bottlebrush hakea, Hakea grammatophylla, Hakea coriacea, Hakea multilineata, Hakea multilineata var. graminea and Hakea multilineata var. grammatophylla.
First described by the botanist Ferdinand von Mueller in 1858, and named after George William Francis, the first director of the Adelaide Botanic Garden.
Native to WA and South Australia, in mallee scrublands in sandy-clay, loam or clay soils, often with gravel.
