headcanon about riptide because I am feral: Ensa and Jay have their little calls just like gillion and Caspian had. and they talk about tinkering and stuff and randomly they start shouting out ideas that came to mind them rushing out of bed to their workbench. they are tired. they are so sleep deprived. they have both made the dumbest shit imaginable at ludicrous hours of the night because they were on a call and bouncing ideas so quickly between each other. they look upon their wretched creation in the morning with fear of their own hands.
can I be honest was definitely shot through the heart with the “had” with caspian and Gillion’s phone callsss AGH miss them…. (<- hasn’t watched riptide in a while)
anyway on to what tthis is actually about:
this is so so so wonderful I believe it in my heart 100000%…. I’m imagining just them sleep deprived as fuck yes and-ing each other essentially like “and hey if we made it like This we could also do This” “and then that means we can do This!!!!” That kinda thinggg so fun :]
also Ensa has the prosthetic leg right? and Jay has one too now right? them going back and forth trying to figure out ways they can make their prosthetics work better -> different prototypes for diff situations, etc. maybe even ways they can hide small weapons, etc in the panelling without compromising stability?
anyway love them and love this concept!!!! engineer buddies 💪 they create some true monstrosities all in the name of “why not?”
