Optimistic, wanting to see the good in people. Hard-working, and tries to put her best in everything she does, often despite her mental health. Independent to the point of having difficulties asking for help. Introverted, able to, and finds comfort in being on her own. Anxious and easily overwhelmed by crowds and loud noises. Conflict situations are not her strong suit. Cries easily. Frustrated easily. Uses humor as a coping mechanism.
˚°✦❀—「About:
Cio is a young woman in her late twenties who left much of her life behind to travel, wanting to see many places. She keeps in contact with her family through letters whenever she finds a post office.
Cio uses her artistic skills to pay for her travels, taking commissions in each town, village, or city she stops in.
Very free-spirited for a woman in the 1950’s. sits criss-cross in seats, often barefoot, etc.
She decided to take a traveling break in the Encanto and live life quietly for a bit, gathering her bearings. But the village was so peaceful it was hard for her to consider leaving, even before becoming too acquainted with Bruno. Everyone was welcoming despite her being a stranger. And Alma welcomed her readily after seeing how willing Cio was to be a help to the Encanto.
˚°✦❀—「Tidbits/headcanons:
Has lots of stories from her travels, and the children of the Encanto won't leave her alone once they know.
Loves to draw up simple pictures for the children to color in. A bit awkward around them but she certainly won't turn them away.
Sings and hums while she draws/paints, more so when she’s alone.
Loves music and goes to lounges and concerts in every place she’s visited. She has several records safely tucked away in bags her horse carries so she can play them when she reaches the next city/town.
Cio has habits/rituals she has to do. Like repetitive motions or rhythmic taps so she 100% knows she’s put something of importance away or something is locked, etc.
Also likes to cook, and will help Julietta where she can after meeting her while learning how to make Colombian foods from her, and teaching her the ones she knows.
After so long traveling alone, Cio tends to talk to herself and her horse. She even does a voice for her horse when it ‘responds’ to her.
Doesn't have the most ‘traditional values’ and beliefs for the 1950’s, with so much time to think and analyze when traveling alone, but respectfully keeps most to herself.
