Decided to do a silly outfit swap with my other beloved ship Bruno and my OC María cause it's amazing how much they low key have in common with each other (mainly their men casually hiding in walls WUAHSHA)

I blame you for this idea.

Anyways: the biggest scare each of my Encanto Next gen characters gave the adults(not including Casita who is the same age as the triplets). Also giving me an excuse to come up with middle names for them.

Dolores & Mariano's kids:

Alina Sophie Guzman-Madrigal: Decided to try out acrobatics on Ferns vines. Wouldn't be a problem except 1. she was fourteen 2. she didn't tell anyone and 3. it was the day of Hugos gift ceremony and so the net wasn't there to catch her.

Luisa caught her thankfully but she still twisted her wrist and got grounded for four months.

David Fabian Guzman-Madrigal: Jumped out a window because he was told not to go down the stairs ala the prince from Cinderella 3. The reason he wasn't was because it was his & his siblings fourteenth birthday and they were setting up a surprise party.

He landed on his left leg and broke his ankle & dislocated his knee. Also he got grounded for three and a half months.

Mateo Felix Guzman-Madrigal: Got his mama's trait of being the chillest of the generation of Madrigals so his biggest scare was when they made the mistake of bringing him into town the day of Adella's gift ceremony where emotions were really high and he got so overwhelmed by them that he fainted.

He never went out of Casita when a gift ceremony was on the horizon or recently happened ever again.

Luisa & Jeronimo's kids:

Adella Eliza Perez-Madrigal: Decided to go on a solo day-long hike starting at sunrise when she was fifteen. Because quote "I'm a woman now and women go on solo hikes!". Problem is she forgot to tell anyone she was doing this.

So when she came home she was immediately stuck in a crying hug-pile and a month-long grounding.

Emmanuel Geraldo Perez-Madrigal: Chaos teenager + mystery magic materials = disaster. It's a pretty unexpected sight to come running in to see your sixteen-year-old son on the floor with a completely broken desk and a giant bleeding wound on his arm.

He ate some of his abuela's food soon enough it should've only left a thin scar but due to the cause being magical it left the regrown skin very pale in a vaguely butterfly shape.

Gabriela Julieta Perez-Madrigal: She has a ton of severe allergies. Mangos, apples, celery, corn, especially corn. And apparently healing magic + deathly allergies = minor seizure.

It only causes a tiny one but for a place with one actual doctor who was off traveling at the time and therefore had no one to know how bad it was it was pretty terrifying for everybody around.

Mirabel & Lucas' kids:

Bianca Isabela Santos-Madrigal: Made a ramp out of ice while biking at full speed when she was twelve and went so fast she would've died if Fern hadn't been there and grown a bunch of bushes for her to land in.

She still broke her wrist & leg and got grounded for four months though.

Savannah Luisa Santos-Madrigal: A week after her & Bianca's gift ceremony they were taking a bath together and Bianca startled her so much she set herself on fire. Thankfully Savannah is fire-proof so she was fine but it still scared the sh-t out of Mirabel who chose that exact moment to check on them.

Shes trained herself not to do that anymore since then but its mainly because her clothes aren't fire-proof like her.

Hugo Agustin Santos-Madrigal: The moment he got his gift he sprouted tons of spikes around him and everyone thought he was dead until he started crying his eyes out. Took a few minutes to calm him down enough to figure out how to detract the spikes.

Now he's claustrophobic.

Camilo's kid:

Maria Dulce Castillo-Madrigal: She was first found by Camilo curled up in a tree when she was three after her biological parents left her there the day before. It took three hours to coax her down and over to Casita.

She was then adopted by Camilo and no longer remembers this event.

Antonio's kid:

Luciana Zoey Madrigal-Jones: One of her ghost friends showed her a really cool spot in the mountains when she was six. She had a very fun time and scared the sh-t out of Antonio.

They didn't find her until Dolores woke up from the afternoon nap she was having.

Oscar Takes Flight

As Oscar was new to the Encanto, the Madrigals decided to assign him to work with various family members until he found his niche. Needless to say Isabela didn't take to him one bit, and was extremely quick to put him in his place!

Oscar was later rescued from atop a thicket of trees with the help of Luisa, Bruno and far too many ladders.

Wanted to draw some pride art and missed Encanto so I drew Isabela Madrigal with my oc Dalia Ibarra that I ship her with. They are in modern clothes so I guess this counts as being part of my Streetrat!Bruno AU which I also missed. Isabela has violets in her hair to represent sapphic love and a sunflower because it’s associated with pride! As for Dalia, she’s got Broccoli on her headscarf because of this tumblr post incorrectly associating broccoli with Sappho and still thought it was funny so I decided to keep it. Anyway, I hope you all enjoyed the art! ^^
