So my first BroadwayCon was a success! It’s relatively small compared to the well-established conventions I’ve been to, but it’s only in its third year, so it has time to grow if it wants to - but one of the thing I liked about it was that intimacy. Small conventions usually make up for it in the enthusiasm and friendliness of the atmosphere - everyone’s there for the love of the theme. Attendees (and even vendors) were complimenting cosplays, people were joining in to sing showtunes at the top of their lungs, and there was enough room to take a breather if crowds aren’t your thing. Even met a great cosplayer in a Glinda bubble dress by @enchantedseastudio (whose name was brought up a few times over the weekend by people I talked to at the con)!
And while we didn’t have a catwalk and a sandbag, my friends @phantomonabudget and @inkedalchemy made sure to pay homage to some fan art by @wicked-elegy at the end of the day.
