There is nothing funnier to me than the headcanon that ghost speaks spanish. Alejandro's awkward "you speak spanish?" And soap's "no" and everyone thinks he's answering for ghost too while ghost just listens to rudy and ale talk shit. Imagine the reveal
Not only does Ghost know Spanish, his accent sounds almost local. He speaks with a British accent to keep up the illusion that he’s learning still and has no clue what Alejandro and Rudy are saying. He keeps it up for a long time. Alejandro confidently talking shit right in front of him and Ghost just acts like he has no clue what the man is saying.
It gets to the point that Alejandro and Rudy talk about personal shit in front of him. He has so much dirt on them. Ghost doesn’t tell anyone that he knows because it’ll make the reveal so much funnier. He goes out of his way to make sure that Price isn’t around because he’s the only one that knows Ghost is fluent in Spanish.
A year rolls around and Alejandro and Rudy think Ghost has a basic understanding of Spanish because they don’t see him often and he hasn’t had the time to learn. They’re more cautious about speaking around him now but still keep talking shit when they can. Ghost is now wanting to reveal it so bad but there hasn’t been an opportunity that would make an impact, yet, so he waits.
Finally, it comes. They’re back in Mexico, Alejandro is interrogating someone. The man refuses to break so Ghost offers to try. Alejandro tells him he doesn’t speak English but Ghost insists so Alejandro let’s him. Alejandro turns out to be more horrified than their prisoner. Soap was blind to Alejandro’s horror as he compliments Ghost’s Spanish and asked him how he became so fluent.
“Learned several years back.”
“You did? Thought you didn’t know Spanish when we first came to Mexico?”
“Everyone assumed I didn’t so I went along with it.”
Ghost made eye contact with Alejandro when he spoke, the man pale. He excuses himself to go make a phone call, Ghost snickering as he leaves rather quickly.
