The sudden surge in anti-Asian attacks in this country is just... so disheartening. Like, there's no non-white person in this country who is safe, and people really want to say racism isn't a thing anymore.

8 women were killed at massage parlors recently, and many more injured. 8 Asian women, dead... which suggests this guy was specifically targeting Asian women. It's giving me flashbacks to Dylann Roof going into a church just to kill Black people. This man went into Asian owned spas and killed 8 Asian women. I'm heartbroken and enraged. White supremacists are running rampant in this country and nobody seems to fucking care. BIPOC keep saying our lives are in danger, and we keep getting told we're overreacting. How many Black people have to be murdered in the streets? How many Indigenous women have to go missing? How many Asian people have to be shot and stabbed? How many Latinx families have to be torn apart? WHEN WILL THIS COUNTRY ACKNOWLEDGE THE WHITE SUPREMACY PROBLEM AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT?
Not to fucking mention how many states are trying to disenfranchise BIPOC after this 2020 election cycle. I'm honestly terrified. I feel like we're back in the 1950s and there's nothing we can do about it.
Asian Americans need all of us, right now, to stand with them and help fucking protect them. Protect Asian Americans. Protect Asian elders. Protect Asian women. I don't know what needs to be done, but listen to Asian Americans and offer support where you're needed. And rest in power to those women senselessly murdered by that waste of oxygen.
