How's their friendship(If there is one) work with Edd and Matt? (Who I'm taking a hot guess and saying they're this AU's version of Steve and Alex)
I’m so glad you asked! This isn’t revealed in the comic at this point, but I can definitely answer!
To put it simply, Edd and Matt are kind of terrified of Tom because he’s tall and very strong. Even when they become friends with him and he gains their trust, he’s still somewhat terrifying.
Tom lacks some self awareness, and doesn’t realise how terrifying he comes off. He literally had to be told by Matt “hey don’t break into our house and leave us flowers in our chests- I know you mean well but it’s creepy.”
Tord is a different case. He has thanatophobia (chronic fear of death) and is envious of the fact that both Edd and Matt can respawn, while he’s a walking bomb that can die at any moment.
Tord is frustrated that Edd is super reckless and basically faces no consequences for dying other than losing his stuff.
He does find solace in the fact that Matt agrees with him most of the time, mostly that Edd is a reckless idiot who’s giving everybody heart attacks every time he dies.
Also he hates that Edd has a cat. Because he hates cats.
