unprompted ask / always accepting
@endhell said: Everyone else would have died a happy death over this chance, but she could just grimace at the very idea of working with this guy. She barely knew him apart of being quite desired and liked, but mostly having a terrible art style in her opinion, potentially ruining her good grades. Why in the world must it be partner work. "I guess now you are awake," she comments, considering their fate; having rolled over and stopping right beside his table. Popular or not, she wasn't afraid, if anything, just annoyed as she doubted it would be easy with a guy who sleeps mostly in class. "I'm Gao Fang." In case he was completely unaware of her existence; at least she did not have to carry her stepfather's surname, which would have intensified some other issues.
it had been a long night, & even longer morning, that everything in-between was nothing more than a hazy memory—a blurred image that tried to be solidified, only to be whisked away with each blink. anyone would have been able to tell that he didn’t get much sleep. his yawns, giving away his exhaustion. teachers barely acknowledged it, though. be it pity, or disinterest for the boy who had lost his parents, a few years ago. when he wasn’t dozing off, he was sketched in his notebook, with a cheek resting against his palm. the sound of his pencil dragging along the paper became his sole focus at times. it made everything more bearable.
his eyes were partially opened, then closed. a shadowy image was in his plane of sight, but he could not make what it was until another blink followed, & then, another. the image becoming more clear, once his vision became less foggy. it didn’t feel like he had slept for long, but the way that he was greeted with, suggested otherwise. instinctively, sangwoo rubbed his eyelids with the back of his fist, as he tried to stir himself awake. his yawn was contained by having his lips pressed together, not allowing himself to exhibit any more of his evident tiredness. his eyes narrowed in her direction, before placing crossed arms over the table, using them as support when he leaned in the direction of his classmate, whilst wearing a lazy smile upon his lips.
“i know you.” he confirmed. his voice, a bit hoarse from not speaking until now. it warranted a clearance of his through. “sorry ‘bout that. i worked till late.” which was only partially a lie—the main reason behind his struggle to sleep, being the very house he inhabited. if it wasn’t one thing, it was another. “i know, i know. no excuse, but i will try to do better.” ‘ try ‘ being a key component here. this time, he’d smile with his eyes. “oh sangwoo... since we are exchanging introductions. i look forward to working with you.”
