Chapter 4: The Agony Of Waiting.
Viktor is having his (as he put it) potentially life-saving surgery, and Jayce is in the waiting room.
Turns out there's three things Jayce doesn't like (there's likely lots of others, but right now, these are top of his list).
• Waiting, especially when there's nothing he can do to help.
• Horrible orange polymer chairs that hate humans.
• Evil, white plastic, analogue wall clocks, that tick, tick, tick away, like some sort of reverse temporal vampire. Instead of sucking the time in, as would be helpful, the stark timepiece actively adds to the endless seconds that float around Jayce, swirling into an endless void of waiting.
