I’d choose this life again (Jayce’s POV)
The Hook-Up
Jayvik strangers to lovers, fast burn. Rated E. 1/5 chapters, 2.6k words/15k.
Summary:
Jayce Talis, 34, poster child professor at Piltover Academy, and adviser to the mighty Council, is going through a short - but highly potent - dry spell. He has an itch he needs to scratch, but due to his face being plastered all over Piltover, he can't casually hook-up with anyone without the whole city knowing.
In order to get around this annoying issue, Jayce opts to venture down into Zaun, specifically to the pub known as The Last Drop, an establishment he has been to once or twice before.
Upon entering the pub, he orders a drink, and wonders how long this necessary task will take. It turns out not long at all, as reflected in the bar mirror is a golden-eyed twink that's just his type.
Get your coat, he thinks, you've pulled.
Updated daily for 5 days.

It's A Good Thing
A Jayvik post-canon oneshot 6k words, Rated M
The events of the Battle of Piltover have come and gone, with the twin cities emerging victorious (although not without great cost), and time has kept on turning.
Jayce and Viktor were sucked into the rune, thereby determining the course of the fight...and then sometime later, perhaps a week or a month, maybe more, the capricious Arcane spat them back out at the top of the Hexgates.
Aware of how dangerous it would be for Viktor to be discovered post-Herald, they left Piltover, and have been wandering Runeterra ever since.
In the here and now they come to an unknown town, and follow the crowd to go and see a new performance by a company of Travelling Players.
The play features a dashing romantic hero, and a vile villain. Reactions are mixed to say the least, but then everyone's a critic, no?
No matter how many years have passed, Jayce still wakes up thinking he is late for classes. He's an anxious little guy.

We'll fix that. I know.
@wildiwaslivid the high horse
@gallifreyanconsultingphilosopher the horse so conceptually legendary it has no need for atoms.
Who fell first, who fell harder?
Viktor fell first, Jayce fell harder
Jayce fell first, Viktor fell harder
Viktor fell first and harder

Proximity
"You don't mind if I stand here, V?"
"What, right here?"
"Hm mhm."
"But Jayce, there is a whole room for you to stand in."
"Yes, but I can only reach your shoulder from here."
"And how does that help us with finalising our equation?"
"Proximity to a comparable intellect helps my brain to function better."
"Really?"
"Oh, yeah. Scientific fact."

Chapter 25, The Fourteenth Part 2
In which Jayce visits a still unconscious Viktor in the clinic.
"We are going to make you well, despite all the fucking shenanigans you’ll pull to get out of it. It won’t wash – you will live a healthy lifestyle, and– you’ll be well.
“Already I can see a difference, even after only two weeks. It reminds me of when we first met. Do you remember? When that quietly confident almost-stranger stopped me from making the biggest mistake of my life, and then you gave me the key to my dream. I had stars in my eyes after that – did you know? – a great big freaking brain crush that turned into our friendship. I don’t think I’ll ever have a friend like you, not again, but I’m not letting go of you, so I won’t have to find out exactly how hard it is to connect like that. Like we did. Like we do. You’re stuck with me, even if I have to tie you to the bed in order to carry out my evil plan."

Chapter 24: The Fourteenth Part 1
Jayce and Sky have a work-related chat. Jayce has a flashback to his childhood.
When he was a young boy, back when his paternal grandmother was alive, Jayce had on one memorable occasion accidentally liberated a chocolate biscuit from the tin (he’s still got it – the tin that is, not the biscuit – a lidded round container, bumped and bashed, with a Christmas scene showing a deer, a squirrel, three badgers, and a confused-looking cow wearing a party hat, standing around a highly decorated spruce tree. It now secretly lives in his magazine-worthy kitchen as an archaic piece of his childhood, a treasured item that Jayce wouldn’t get rid of if someone were to offer him a million cogs. If he keeps a packet of chocolate hobnobs in there, then that's between him and his tinny nostalgia) that lived on the high shelf in Grandma’s kitchen. It was a very high shelf, and far too elevated for a small child, but armed with a busy mind, three pull-out drawers that doubled as steps, and a fierce determination, Jayce had taken on the challenge, and won.
His grandmother, a tall woman with bright green eyes, and long, black-warring-with-grey hair, had had a sixth sense for infractions against sweet treats and confectionery, and had summoned Small Jayce to the scrubbed pine kitchen table. Two of the six chairs were slightly pulled out, and Grandma indicated he should take the red seat, whilst she sat on the yellow.
For a whole minute (probably. Jayce has never been good at waiting) nothing happened, but then she’d moved the giant tea cosy that had spent its life innocently insulating the cooling teapot, to reveal the tin.
Small Jayce’s eyes had widened at the sight, and he’d licked his lips to find that not even a phantom crumb of the delicious contraband still remained.
“Jayce.”
That was all. One word, and just his first name. If she had said his full name, then Jayce might have passed out there and then.
As it was, the prosecution's evidence consisted of the summons to the kitchen table, the biscuit tin, and his own singular name. Small Jayce never stood a chance.
He tried, really he did. Jayce tried to sit still, to be nonchalant (before even being old enough to know what the word meant), and to thoroughly show that he knew nothing of any biscuit-related crime. His body, however, didn’t get the memo, and failed to read the room. It – he – squirmed and wriggled, and the light of discovery danced in Grandma’s eyes.
“Mr Shifty strikes again!”
Small Jayce’s days of biscuit-rustling at Grandma’s house were sadly well and truly over.
Taking a little break from commissions and forcing myself to learn again how to render, also... me and my inconsistent art style, we're not doing better 😔
