The Blogosphere
Hello, Internet. I'm not going to go into detail about who I am and why I started up this blog because you can read all about that in my "About Me/FAQ" section. But I will explain a few things.
As a journalism major, I guess it's good to be on the radar and broadcast my writing.
So you can assume from my blog title that this will be about my life's strange events. You'll learn through time that an amalgam of very weird things have happened to or around me. I'll reflect upon some past events as I blog about things that have just happened. Here's what to look for:
-Disclaimer: I swear...a lot. I don't hold back (I'm an opinion columnist for my campus's paper). Of course, I have to be appropriate for a campus outlet, but not here necessarily. I'm known to be opinionated and my potential employers may see this and if they're not going to hire me based on my truths and thoughts, so be it. It's not like they've never said or done anything questionable. -Another disclaimer: I'm not actually 20 yet. I will be in four days. But I'm already exhibiting the signs of a 20-something. -I go through daily existential crises. No, I'm not some hipster who worships Albert Camus. I'm being serious. I have absolutely no direction in life, which scares the shit out of me. -I'm very cynical and sarcastic. It has a lot to do with my upbringing, which may come up eventually. My outlook on life isn't necessarily negative, like most people think. I think it's practical. Who wants to be disappointed? Not me. -I love politics. I'm incredibly left-leaning, so yes, I'm a registered Democrat. -I'm an only child. I'm very close to my parents and will probably talk about them. The rest of my family is...special...(more to follow). -I've traveled to a good number of places. -I love my job. I'm a campus tour guide and I've had some pretty interesting characters on my tour shifts. -My love life is hilarious. More like, lack there of until recently. Some old stories will probably be brought up. -I have a pretty decent social life. Hello, I'm in college. What else would you expect?
