I had no idea about this band called typhoon until that ask and now I'm interested

Typhoon is an 11-member indie band from Portland, Oregon (wow, that sounded hipstery) and undoubtedly my favorite band of all time!  The large number of musicians allows for the addition of strings, horns, and group vocals to a regularly more acoustic genre of music.  Some of their stuff is bold and loud (Common Sentiments), some of it gentle and contemplative (The Sickness Unto Death), and there’s tons that’s in between. It’s a varied sound, yet engaging across the board, I just adore it.

The lead singer, Kyle Morton (who has a solo album, What Will Destroy You, that’s wonderful as well!) has fought Lyme Disease since his childhood, and their album White Lighter reflects on that; he wasn’t even sure if he’d survive long enough to finish the album, and the depth and emotion of that feeling shows in so many of those songs.

Overall the band is just lyrically brilliant to me and also has a beautiful sound.  They’re on Spotify if anyone’s interested in listening! My favorite songs by them are Summer Home, Claws Pt. 1, The Lake, Common Sentiments, and a bunch of others! (Also, for you Gravity Falls fans, Dreams of Cannibalism is the most Stanley Pines song ever written.)

Their new album comes out fully in January, but they’re releasing songs four at a time until then for early listening!  (Wake is REALLY DARN GOOD) 

I know I typed a lot, aaaaaaaa, but I just love this band so much.  Give them a listen if you can!  I really hope posts like these can introduce them to someone new who loves music like theirs.

I'm really hoping I'll be able to make some charms :3 I just sort of thought about making them today and I think I will do that. Also make some plushies or something maybe too.. Man I'll be happy when I finally get a job. I can just buy things that I want to make things that will make me be in peace and have fun... Ok, so there is a story to this picture. Right before I took the photo a fire alarm started to go off and I just looked back at the Dave and said “I blame this on you” Not to be mean but basically saying he was so hot he made the fire alarm go off.. I took the photo and then we exited the building just to find out that the fire department was showing up. Apparently someone pulled the fire alarm or something an just yeah. That is the story to this picture.
