Response to Agron’s Blog: Firearms Purchase
Does raising age from 18 to 21 help make a difference? As stated, President Trump requested to change the age restrictions from 18 to 21, because he believes it will help stop students and people under the age of 18 to not shoot. According to recent shootings, such as Parkland school and Charleston Church shootings, the shooters are both under the age of eighteen. The number ,18, is a strange number to be because people identify 18 to be either a minor or an adult. With further ado, age restrictions may or not make a difference.
If the age is changed to 21, will there be a difference in the person’s mind or behavior? People can improve and learn how to take control of guns with responsibility. Many predict that there will be less shootings with the age restrictions involved. However, Orlando Pulse’s shooter was above the age of eighteen, so sometimes age restrictions can be useless too.
March 24, 2018 will be the day where all citizens around America fighting to ban guns. People do not want gun to be involved as a weapon. NRA should start listening to citizens of America because we are the people who have power to find what is right and best for our country. NRA needs to stop gun control.Period.
It does not matter if you change the age restrictions or not, many people can still have access to getting those weapons from family members, connections, friends, or a hidden location.
