📚 Book Tour 👣 End of Pride by L.J. Duncan ✒️Review A dystopian thriller set in Australia?! Say no more! I'm totally keen to read it. Now that I've read it though I'm rather questioning my sanity back then. It is a rather horrifying look at the world which could be. Though maybe it reminds me to be thankful for what we have right now. This world, Soteria, is one that is peppered with name places I recognised and know but it is rendered unrecognisable by its harsh bleakness. It is a very cruel world. Yet, there is some goodness or at least seed of goodness, of humanity, found within some pockets of society. The book description introduces 2 main protagonists and usually, (this is my expectation anyway) they would meet... hopefully, before too long. Well, I had a very long wait which made me truly impatient. However, the story was action-packed or may be, it should be phrased as horror-packed because there were a couple of incidents from which I recoiled from and a lot of wincing happening, that I was flipping through pages quite quickly. I would, however, highly recommend that you take the trigger warning to heart. End of Pride is a storytelling that is gritty, unflinching, and unforgiving.
