Name: Endoril
Race: Altmer (High Elf)
Height: 6′6″
Age: 25 (or the equivalent, at any rate, from what i understand from the games, mer just have a longer middle/old age haha,)
Birthday / Birthsign: 3rd of Second Seed / The Shadow
Family: His parents, back in the Isles. He’s from Shimmerene.
Specialty: He’s an archer! And he also uses swords (of the smaller/single-handed kind) at close range. Typical soldier skills.

Endoril was born in the Summerset Isles, and so his childhood happened under the current (3rd) Dominion. His parents were nothing but loyal and he was raised to be the same. He lived a cushy, but sheltered, life as a child, entirely oblivious to the political issues around him.
He became a Thalmor soldier as his mother had also been, and he frequently assisted in the rounding up of heretics to the Thalmor and other minor individuals who were opposed. This was almost always just one to a few people at a time, adults as well. To him, they had it coming. This was meant to happen, and they got what they deserved for worshiping a false divine, right?
Well, this was what he assumed, till his assigned group (and him) offed an entire household. That is, the whole family, children and all. This was the first time Endoril had witnessed such a thing, and his comrades simply assured him that it was perfectly natural; that just like in any other case, this was meant to happen.
However, over the span of several more assignments, he began to doubt himself more and more. It dawned upon him that the event was likely not a fluke and that similar things were happening with other squads. Quite frankly, he was horrified, and unable to take his mind off of it.
So, he ran. However, abandoning one’s Thalmor lifestyle and high tailing it does not come without serious repercussions. He was a dissenter, now. He was lucky enough to manage to leave the Summerset Isles altogether, but of course this also meant that he was, and is, now a target for Thalmor death squads himself.

Endoril is a restless sort. Why wouldn’t he be, given the circumstances? He tends to fidget and does not enjoy hanging around for no reason. Most of the time, he is doing something to occupy himself. While he’d like to be able to relax some, this would be pretty difficult.
He’s also paranoid and scans people over repeatedly to make sure they pose no threat. He’s not timid by any means, after all, he’s taken big risks to get where he is, but he’s cautious around others, and now that he’s out of the Isles, he is also cautious as to not draw too much attention to himself.
He does still carry a bit of that traditional Altmer arrogance with him, but he’s making an effort to treat others (anyone who isn’t a “pure” Summerset Altmer) with more respect now. He tries to carry out small acts of kindness and assistance; although he can’t go back in time and undo what he’s done, he can at least strive to be a better person now. And he does deeply regret his actions (though as previously stated, regret does not make everything better).
Other notes: Endoril is not his real name. He took it from a neighbor he recalls having as a child. His real name is actually Iryntar, but seeing as he’s in hiding he’s not using his birth name anymore. He’d have to trust someone completely to give it away.
He rarely stays in one place for too long, lest he be found out. He typically prefers places with a heavier Altmer population, so he can blend in.
He also misses his parents, but going back to visit them would be a terrible idea.
