Here’s another blind OTP! I did this one with Russ ( @russetmoth )! We went with Elder Scrolls and picked the theme Hunter & Hunted, I got Hunter! Russ’s half is right here. I tried to keep her lore friendly with her background, but if not, I’m terribly sorry!
Info is under the cut!
Name: Terali (pronounced “tair-ah-lee”)
Race: Dunmer (Dark Elf)
Height: 5′4″
Age: 23
Birthday / Birthsign: 10th of Hearthfire / The Lady
Family: Parents and a brother, located in Morrowind.
Specialty: Mage. She does especially well with Destruction and Restoration magic. She also possesses great stealth, speed, and agility, much like a thief or assassin.
—
Terali was born in Morrowind. While she and her brother were birthed under House Telvanni, their mother did not agree with the beliefs and aspects of the House, choosing to sever her connection entirely. She refused to let her children be involved with any of the five Houses, wanting what she believed was best for them. However, their father held on tightly to his ties with House Telvanni, creating tension between the parents.
When Terali was still a child, her father left the family to be alone and practice his sorcery in his own tower, much to his wife’s dismay. While he did come back and visit often, his visits became less and less frequent as the children grew older.
Terali’s childhood was otherwise normal for the most part, despite her father’s lengthy absences. She and her brother grew up together under their mother’s care, in a fairly wealthy household. The two got along well, though they naturally argued a bit here and there. Her relationship with her father was rather distant, and became even more so as the years went by. She does have grandparents who live some distance away from her hometown, and she would visit them on some occasions.
Two years back, Terali was requested by her mother to take an antidote to her grandmother, who was very ill at the time and needed that antidote to recover. In the evening, during her walk to her grandparents’ residence, she was attacked by a wandering werewolf. She suffered some minor injuries, but the bite inflicted on her left shoulder during the struggle left lasting scars and put her under serious pain. Once the werewolf was dispatched and her injuries were healed, she made sure the antidote reached her grandmother safely, and returned home.
Little did Terali know that she had contracted Sanies Lupinus – the Lycanthropy disease – until three days had passed. After experiencing a vision of Hircine in her sleep, Terali woke up and involuntarily transformed into a werewolf. Horrified, Terali felt herself driven by her newly founded beast blood to kill. Her mother and brother were woken by her screams, and they were petrified at the sight of her. Not wanting to hurt her family, or anyone for that matter, Terali fled the house and went into the woods to avoid being seen or attacked by other residents. Not sure of what to do, since she didn’t want to bring harm upon others, she soon began to experience the effects of not satiating her bloodlust, becoming increasingly ill at an alarming rate. She settled to kill a local bandit, and when she reverted, she was able to return home.
However, with this troublesome situation of Terali being a werewolf, her mother was torn between letting her daughter stay or making her leave. As much as she wanted to keep her at home, she and her children both knew it wouldn’t be safe for any of them or the other residents. Therefore, Terali had no choice but to leave and live a solitary life. She fled to Skyrim, where she settled herself into a vacant cabin in the woods. From there, no one could see her transform when she had to.
About a year later, Terali came across a lone red fox cub in the woods during the cold winter season, backed into a burrow by a pack of wolves. After successfully rescuing her, and learning the parents were nowhere to be found, she took her home and raised her herself. She began to call her Sana’a, and when Sana’a was old enough, the fox became her travel and hunting companion. From then on, it has been just the two of them living alongside each other, while Terali searches for a cure to her lycanthropy.
—
Terali is normally quiet, reserved, strong-willed, self-reliant, and gentle. She minds her own business for the most part and usually keeps to herself, especially now with her being a carrier of the lycanthropy disease. She likes to read, watch the northern lights, and practice her magic in her spare time. She has also found an interest in alchemy.
Terali prefers to avoid drawing attention to herself, especially during the evening hours. While she’s grown used to having very few friends, she does miss her family. She also likes the company of other people, though she still has a bit of a hard time trusting others, much like her fellow Dunmer. It takes a while to gain her trust, though her trust could be gained more easily compared to other dark elves due to her kindness and tolerance of others. She’ll only spill her secret of being a werewolf to someone she can put her complete trust in.
Due to her choice of clothing for when she goes out, regardless of the time of day, a few citizens and guards have either assumed or mistaken her for an assassin or thief. She’s been able to prove such assumptions wrong, and her experiences have helped her a bit with her charisma.
Terali still seeks to be cleansed of lycanthropy, and has traveled far and wide in search of it. Alas, the young woman has been facing some unfortunate struggles along the way. While trying to avoid The Silver Hand, it is not easy to find the Glenmoril Witches and their Coven.
Terali Besi
Dia melihat aku. Dia menaruh sebuah pandangan dalam di mataku. Dia mendekat, semakin dekat. Hingga berada di sisi seberang terali tepat di depan ku. Aku tidak menyangka dia bertanya kepadaku.
“Apakah keadaanmu baik-baik saja ?”
Buat aku percaya.”
“Iya, tentu” Sahutku.
