The man with clumped hair
Oily, obese and very tall His hair was straight, long and clumped in thick strands his grey shirt had large spots darker than the rest Under his arms and cross his back from sweat A rather high pitched voice for someone so large But that wasnt the only thing that catching people off guard Being near him meant being agressively attacked by a thick fog that lingered and rose From the crust on his lips and his sweat drenched clothes A stench so repulsive it stayed in your nose The smell of no shower after a day in the heat Then age that six years in a campsite latrine Top it with breath from a cotton mouthed morning And put it in stagnant water where mosquitoes are spawning And as if his smell wasnt disgusting enough He carried around this clear plastic cup Half filled up with spit that was black and had chunks And spilled on his hands and his clothes when he hunched Over to pay for his 40oz beer This man was repulsive and if one thing is true It's that some kinds of beasts you cant find in a zoo They walk around towns and live under bridges Push grocery store carts filled with whatever that shit is Just pay them no mind and theyll soon turn their head On to the next, for a chance to get fed But one day soon, his cup will be dry The chunks that remain all covered with flies And next to that cup is the man from store Quiet, still smelly, but living no more Rotting alone in a pool of shit So foul and repugnant even rats dont see fit To fill their mouths with even a bite So, slowly his carcass decays day and night Deserved? No!, you might say but life works out strangely and has little ways of punctuating existence with a death that reflects it this man gave no thought to his smell or his presence and his body in death was shown the same reverence no one to grieve him and no one to care this is the fate of the man with clumped hair
DID YOU KNOW???
David Byrne use to have someone stand on the other side of a window and speak to him. He couldn't hear the person, so he just wrote down what he imagined they were saying by the movement of lips, and those words became several Talking Heads songs. I believe he may have you beaten Keithen.
