As I think of what this day means to me. It marks the EIGHT year anniversary of grandma going home to be with Jesus. I’ve learned a lot since she has passed. She challenged me physically and spiritually. She was willing to ride bikes with my cousin and I to get us ready for a week long bike ride across Iowa. She did @ragbrai with me. As many also know, she was the FIRST one to hear about each ride. She even got phone calls at ZERO DARK THIRTY to know that I was on the road of each day on @ragbrai. Fast forward a few years and my first #endscycling tour, and my first thought is. I wonder what grandma would think of me being involved in a cycling ministry. Two things: first thing I thought is. She would love it! The second: how could she have been involved! When I look at the last eight years since she passed. I’ve ridden SEVEN #ragbrai’s, one double century ride, countless centuries, and most importantly FOUR @endscycling tours(virtual tour counts) and a fifth one on the horizon. Over the last eight years I’ve ridden close to 45k miles on various trails around Iowa and the country. It still doesn’t seem that long but I also know that she would be smiling as I continue to go deeper in my spiritual journey. #IStillMissHer #ProudGrandson #togodbetheglory @endscycling @kylesbikes @angelameron (at Cherry Glen) https://www.instagram.com/p/CD-XF1rhiub/?igshid=g8bg6yx7icha
