It isn't! It really isn't. I lost my motivation and hit a major writer's block on it and then felt so guilty that it just started a cycle. I haven't been able to get back to it, but lord you have no idea how badly I want to finish that story!

Where did you get the idea for Endurance?
Well, uh, one day I thought about the scene in A Gathering of Shadows where Holland collars Kell with a magic-canceling collar and I wondered about what if that, but sexy.
Then I decided to set my little spicy one-shot idea after the final fight between Kell and Holland prior to the battle with the Danes, and made it so Kell missed at the last second and was taken to the Danes by Holland.
Then I wrote one chapter of dark spiciness.
And then two.
And then a third.
And then suddenly a plot started to find its way into my smut...
Is Endurance!Holland good at dancing? Asking for scientific purposes
He is an EXCELLENT dancer. I have a headcanon that younger Kell gets sort of pissed off watching him because Kell himself takes such care to be a good dancer but Holland absolutely blows him out of the water.
Of course, then he gets to experience it himself.
