Narrative Essay Revise your Narrative Essay Draft to incorporate elements of narration you learned in Chapter 5 of your text and to create an improved version of your paper. Follow the guidelines in Chapter 4, and revise and edit your draft to produce a polished final narrative essay. Submit your final essay. Your essay must meet the following requirements: Paper must meet the requirements outlined in the Course Grading section, found in the left navigation, for preparing and formatting papers. The essay must be on the topic of returning to school and must demonstrate at least two techniques of effective narration outlined in your Essentials of College Writing text. The essay must have an effective thesis statement and include supporting material to reinforce this thesis. The essay must be a total of three to five pages in length, with a title page, two to three pages of text, and a reference page (if any outside sources are used.) Carefully review the Grading Rubric for the criteria that will be used to evaluate your assignment.

Compare and Contrast Essay Compose a first draft of a compare and contrast paper. For the draft of the essay due this week, choose two items and compare and contrast them in your essay, using either the block arrangement or the point-by-point arrangement discussed in Chapter 6 of the Essentials of College Writing text. Present the comparison and contrast objectively, without revealing a preference for one item or the other. Before writing your draft this week, engage in a prewriting activity and use the techniques you have learned in this course for drafting.
