As far as I'm aware, the word "Christmas" is something of an English idiosyncrasy. Other languages in Europe seem to call it the equivalent of "Nativity" (Navidad, Noel, Рождество) or, if they're Germanic, they still call it Yule. Is the presumably related English habit of calling many feast days "Mass" (Michaelmas, Martinmas, Candlemas) also unique?
