April News
Two interesting and stimulating peer crits this April, the most recent one was at Bow Arts Bermondsey Studios.
Once again a theme emerged; all the presenters had photography back grounds. Through their presentations, we examined the experience of looking. We started at the very real with docu videos that commented and danced around the corporate structures we work within. We then looked at the construction of memory, it's narratives, tricks and textures. The final presentation took us to the key for visual perception- an examination of light , and its own textures, structures and illusions. Thanks to all who took part, showed their work and for the generous comments from the participants.
Lots of exciting things happening, looking forward to running peer crit groups in other locations around the UK. More details to come soon on the 'When&Where' page.
The next crit group will be in May at Bow Arts, Bow Road. Currently deciding on a good date- if you have a preference do get in touch!
