🕊Long post alert🌱 So this weekend I went ALL thee way out of my comfort zone & into a West African dance class. We learned the steps in front of a community of drummers and ya girl was strugglin! At first I kept messing up because I was focusing on the steps, which foot to use, which arm ect. I got to a point where I said forget it I’m just going to dance. When this happened everything started to come together and I focused on the feeling instead of the steps. I realized that’s what gets me lost in life too. When I focus on made up steps or societal milestones instead of what I’m feeling & just dancing! 🥁 My Take Away: Don’t ignore the feeling because you’re too focused on the steps #westafricandance #naturalhair #thejourney #lifelessons #blessed #engineerbae #danceclass #nhdaily #berrycurly #lestruggle
