In Complete Solidarity with England
I stand in complete solidarity with my English brothers and sisters. There’s something profoundly moving about seeing our streets, our villages, and even our humble roundabouts adorned with the glorious red cross of St. George. Each flag is more than cloth in the wind it is a statement of pride, unity, and love for this nation we call home.
At a time when cynicism and division seem to dominate public life, these simple yet powerful displays of national identity give me hope. They remind us of who we are, what we stand for, and the heritage we share. England is not just a land, it is a story. A story carried in the voices of its people, the pages of its literature, the courage of its soldiers, and the quiet dignity of its traditions.
When I see that flag waving, I see a call to unity. To remember that no matter our backgrounds or differences, we are bound together by the soil under our feet and the legacy passed down from generations before us. As one of our most beloved sons, William Shakespeare, once wrote in Henry V.
"Cry 'God for Harry, England, and Saint George!'"
That cry is as relevant today as it was centuries ago. It is a rallying call to stand tall, to cherish our values, and to protect what makes us distinctly English.
We must not be ashamed of who we are. We must not shrink in the face of those who would dilute or dismiss our heritage. Instead, we must wear it proudly, for only by embracing our identity can we pass it on intact to the generations that follow.
So yes let our streets be filled with flags. Let our roundabouts blaze with red and white. Let every village and town proclaim with confidence:
This is England, and we are united as one.
Because when England stands united, England stands strong.
