EDI stealing an android, messing around being an android, and then deciding to have a love life, could have been such a fun bit of self determination.

Even the bit where it was a sexy android. That’s hardly the point, but there’s so much room there for “hey I like being sexy!” Although it would have been more interesting, I think, if she’d nicked a hot masculine android, or started off male-coded then wound up looking like Eva Core while going “stop making that confused face Joker, you know my gender is spaceship.”

And Joker x EDI could have been so good as a weird SF take on rivals to friends to lovers. Emphasis on friends. Who respect each other. And only ogle metal boobs in an appropriate “these are attached to a person” manner. Throw out the “disabled people can’t fuck real people, only robots” implications and play it as a proper if odd relationship.

DAMMIT BIOWARE DO I HAVE TO WRITE ALL THE FIXFIC MYSELF

…maybe I’ll do it. Anyone want to vote on masculine vs feminine vs neutral sexy android? Vs minimising the android and just shipping him with the spaceship?

Or I could just write weird porn where she customises the android in interesting ways and tries it out with Joker or Sam or Tali or whoever else volunteers… that sounds easier, and possible to cover a lot of the same territory, and also fun!
