Gachiakuta!Headcanons
What the Gachiakuta boys’ reactions would be to seeing you with your hair down.
Boys included : Enjin, Zanka, Gris, Follo, Rudo, Tamsy, Zodyl
———————————————————————————————
Enjin:
{ I feel like Enjin would be extremely shocked to see you in such a relaxed state. Only for him to later play it off. For a Giver such as yourself, letting yourself lose is an incredible rarity to see for the team.}
Finally, a day off. The Cleaner HQ seemed to be quieter the usual. Even the air coming in through the cracks in the walls seemed to be moving slower. I peeled myself from my cot, the warmth of my blanket falling from my shoulders. I thought nothing of my appearance. Safe for changing into comfortable clothes instead of my pajamas.
I yawned, running a hand through my hair, catching a couple of loose tangles on the way down. I scrunched my nose at the flash of pain and dropped my arms lazily at my sides before pushing the cafeteria door open with my right shoulder.
My eyes scanned the groups, seeing a couple of Supporters at one, and a small group of Givers at another. I sniffed and decided to go to the small breakfast bar in search of some coffee. As I approached, not only did I find a steaming pot of fresh coffee, I also found my situationship, Enjin.
I payed no mind to him at first, seeing if he was awake enough to notice it was me. But once my mug was full of coffee, I realized that would not in fact be the case.
“Good morning, Enjin.” I hummed, sitting on the stool beside him. He only grunted and glanced over sleepily. Before I could say much else though, Enjin whipped around, his eyes flitting from the top of my head to my face. My eyes widened at his sudden change of mannerisms.
“You-your hAir?” He squeaked, voice cracking slightly. Then he cleared his throat, turning away from me slightly. “I mean. Your hair.” His voice had changed to one of pure smugness. I rolled my eyes and blew over the top of the mug in my hands.
“Stop it.” I said, hiding the blush that was rising to my cheeks. I felt his fingers twirl into my hair’s ends, getting a feel for it.
“It’s beautiful.” He complimented gently, resting his chin in his free hand. I swallowed down what little sip I had taken and turned to face him.
“Like your face.” I fired back, unable to hide my smile. His fingers froze in my hair and his jaw dropped. I huffed a laugh and used my right index finger to close his mouth, returning silently to my morning coffee.
Zanka:
{Zanka would 100% pretend to not even notice if he was around the others. But as soon as the two of you are alone, he would either be dead serious about how much he loved it, or really stumble over his words.}
The five of us laid on the dusty ground, coughing our lungs up. I heard Zanka spitting endlessly beside me. Once I felt cleared of the fallen rubble, I rolled over onto my back, beginning to laugh slightly.
“Could’ve been worse!” I said happily, stretching my arms up over my head. I looked over at Enjin who was wiping blood from his nose.
“Shut up.” He groaned. I smirked and swung my outstretched arms forward, feeling my now fallen out hair blanket my shoulders. I shook my head, seeing the two surviving Bobby pins hit the ground beside me. As I picked them up, I saw Zanka lying flat on his back staring straight up at the Sphere. His cheeks looked more colorful than usual.
“Up with you, Z.” I said playfully, standing with his shins between my legs as offered him my hands. He let go of his Asisstaff for a brief moment, taking my hands and pulling himself up. I looked him over, dusting off his shoulders before turning to join the others. I think he muttered ‘thank you’ but I was too far to hear.
We climbed back in the truck, buckling quickly to prepare for Enjin’s driving. Riyo placed her chin in her hand and stared out the passenger window while Rudo laid out in the back, completely dazed by today’s mission. I smiled, toying with my Instrument as we rode along.
A while later, we arrived at Cleaner HQ and Enjin had successfully gotten us all back alive. We all slumped out of the truck, stretching and moaning and groaning in various ways. I skipped around to the trunk, opening it to let Rudo out. Unexpectedly though, Rudo rolled right out and fell to the ground with a rough thud. I gasped and knelt down to help him.
“Rudo! Rudo, are you okay?” I asked, my hair tickling his nose.
“Sweets.” He whispered and began to slowly get to his feet. I chuckled and watched as he joined Enjin and Riyo. I shook my head and started to make my way toward HQ. Just as I walked past Zanka, I felt him grab my upper arm gently. I stopped and looked over at him with a concerned look.
“You okay?” I asked, reaching over to lay my hand atop his. His eyes darted between mine and his lips remained pursed. After a second more of silence, he took a slow, deep breath.
“Ithinkyourhairlooksreallygoodlikethis.” He spoke faster than he swings that staff. I blinked, not catching a single thing he’d said.
“Huh?” I asked cautiously. Zanka swallows and reached up to rub the back of his neck.
“I think. Your hair. Looks really. Good like this.” He broke his words up, his cheeks reddening with every pause. Then, before I could respond, he hung his head and clenched his fists, walking hurriedly away from me. I grinned from ear to ear.
“THANK YOU, ZANKA!” I called after him, not caring who heard. I saw him duck his head further, drawing a laugh from my chest.
Gris:
{Lord have mercy. The way this man would not know what to do with himself. Does he praise you? Pull you aside and tell you? Yell because he’s too nervous to say anything at all? It would wreck him completely.}
I don’t know what I would do without the Supporters. Anyone who says otherwise can go to a Polluted Zone and never come back. I glanced down from my place atop this Trash Beast’s head and saw the four of them on the ground, taking out all the smaller Trash Beasts that had decided to come out and play.
Durning my temporary distraction, the Trash Beast titled its head, causing its horn to knock the wind right out of me. I clawed for breath for a brief second before regaining my focus and taking another hit at it with my Instrument. I tossed my head to the side, ridding my face of the stray hairs that had fallen out of my usual bun.
A few more good hits later and the Trash Beast melted away into nothingness. My feet hit the ground, my knees shaking slightly and my hair falling around my bruised face. I heard footsteps approaching and I looked up to see Gris and Follo running to my aid.
“Are you alright?” Follo asked worriedly. Gris stood by his side, looking over my face and body, sweat dripping from his forehead. I nodded in response to Follo.
“Oh yeah, fit as a fiddle.” I said. Gris and Follo both raised a brow.
“What’s a fiddle?” Follo asked. I smiled up at the two of them and waved a dismissive hand.
“I don’t actually know. But I think it’s a Spherite saying.” I told them. My gaze wandered over to Gris, who was unusually quiet.
“Gris?” I asked, tilting my head slightly. “Gris, you good?” I saw him squeeze his hands together then slowly release them.
“Mhm.” He hummed. Even Follo looked confused. I stood to my full height, running a hand through my hair and then placing my hands on my hips. I heard Gris’ breath hitch and his eyes widened. I quirked a brow, but said nothing and opted instead to head back toward HQ. I heard Follo behind me trying to break Gris out of whatever trance he was stuck in.
“But she’s so beautiful like this! She was beautiful before, BUT LIKE THIS?!” Gris yelled behind me. I came to a complete stop, only catching the last part.
“What’s the problem?” I asked. Just as I turned to face the boys again, Gris came running up and grabbed both of my upper arms with a gentle but firm grip.
“Why don’t you wear your hair like this often?” Gris asked.
“I-“
“Do you not think it looks good? Because it looks really good.” He said breathily.
“Gris.” I said. But he continued on.
“You’re like, a whole different person! I mean, you still look very strong and powerful. But this? This is, this…” He praised, running short on breath. I smiled up at him, realizing that he had been slowly bending me backward in his grip. I pressed a finger to the nose of his gas mask and he crossed his eyes to look at it.
“Don’t run out of oxygen, Big Boy. We can talk more about my hair inside.” I said sweetly, slipping slowly from his grasp and leaving him speechless behind me.
Follo:
{This sweet thing is totally in awe of you. Just staring, letting the image sink in. Only once he feels like he has a permanent mental image of you does he speak.}
“Hey, Follo! Can you toss me that rag over there?” I asked, calling to him from one end of the cafeteria. I hated being stuck on cafeteria cleaning duty. But being with Follo makes the hatred a tiny bit less.
“Yep! Go long!” He shouted back. I glanced up from the table I had been eyeing down and saw the white and slightly stained rag flying at me with great speed. But just as I was about to reach up and catch it, it landed with a wet flop on top of my head.
I heard Follo gasp dramatically and immediately come running in my direction. I froze, trying to process what had just unfolded before me. Only when I felt drops of water from the rag rolling down my temples did I began to freak out.
“Ew! Ew ew ew!” I yelped, tossing the rag from my head and accidentally hitting Follo right in the chest.
“I-I’m so sorry! So sorry! What can I do? What should I do?” He asked frantically, waving his hands and jumping on each foot. The rag slipped down to the floor with a soft plop, drawing his attention for a brief moment. He bent down to pick it up and I pulled the hair tie from my ponytail, letting my now somewhat damp hair free.
I ran my hands through it, feeling some water droplets go flying from the strands. Thankfully, no soggy crumbs of any kind. Follo stood back up just as I was tossing my head back. Before I even opened my eyes, I heard the rag hit the floor once more.
I looked at him, seeing his jaw dropped and eyes wide. I glanced to my left, like I was going to ask someone beside me what had happened. My hair came to a stop, resting over my back and shoulders as it always did.
“Follo?” I asked, bending down a bit. “Follo? Sphere to Follo?” I continued, waving my right hand in front of his face. He didn’t flinch. The only movement coming from him was his shoulders rising and falling in time with his breath. “FOLLO!” With that, he sprung back to life.
“Your hair! It looks really good like this! You just look so pretty!” He praised. A smile was tugging on the corners of my lips.
“Follo, a wet rag was literally just in it like five seconds ago.” I reminded, crossing my arms over my chest. He shook his head and waved his hands around to silence me.
“Okay, aside from that, this is a really good look on you!” He said, his skin turning a soft pink. I was sure mine was mirroring his.
“Thank you. You should see it without rag water in it.” I said playfully.
“I said I was sorry!” He whined.
Rudo:
{We all know he ain’t smiling. That’s for sure. I feel like Rudo would honestly be kind of rude at first. Not realizing that’s how it sounded and then like, bury his face in his hoodie and be nicer about it.}
I was in my room. Enjoying some well-deserved me time after an incredibly annoying mission. Book in hand. Piping hot tea on my nightstand. Hair let down. Rudo in my doorway. RUDO IN MY DOORWAY?!
My head whipped up from the book I was reading and I stared at the white haired boy. He was just, standing there. Those red eyes of his seemingly watching my every move. I glanced back down at the pages in my book before looking up to see home tucking his gloved hands into his hoodie pocket.
“Did you… need something, Rudo?” I asked softly, trying to maintain the calm I had been feeling prior to his appearance. He continued to stare before shrugging slightly.
“I was bored.” He said simply. I quirked a brow at his response.
“I thought Zanka was supposed to be training with you today.” I replied, unsure of what his intentions truly were.
“Got another nosebleed. Had to cut it short.” Rudo explained. I slowly nodded, finding my bookmark and placing it between the pages.
“Are you feeling alright?” I asked, setting my bookmark down and grabbing my tea cup. His eyes found the ground, darting around like he was searching for the honest answer.
“I guess.” He said. Then silence hung in the air. I smirked and took a careful sip of my tea. “Can I sit with you?” He looked back up from the floor, wearing a look of slight guilt on his face. Like he’d said something he shouldn’t have.
“Certainly.” I replied, gesturing to the foot of my bed. He waddled over, shoulders slumped with exhaustion. I watched as he climbed up and pulled his knees to his chest. I picked my book back up and rested it in my lap. Just before I opened it again, I decided to try and start a conversation one more time.
“What are you thinking about?” I asked, concerned about his sudden lack of words. He looked over at me with furrowed brows.
“How weird your hair looks right now.” He said, no particular emotion in his voice. I stared at him, completely taken aback by his words. As he stared ack at me, I saw his eyes slowly begin to widen.
“Is that why you’ve been so quiet since you’ve been standing in my doorway?” I asked, adding a slight bite to my tone. Rudo squeezed his eyes shut and pulled the neck of his hoodie up over his face.
“No no. I didn’t mean weird like that. I just meant like, it looks different.” He told me, his voice muffled by the heavy fabric. “It looks nice.” I paused, smiling at his kindness. I reached over and ruffled what little of his hair was peeking out of his temporary shield.
“That’s very sweet, Rudo.” I told him comfortingly.
Tamsy:
{Obviously, Tamsy has excellent hair himself. I feel like he would be extremely nonchalant. Maybe, compliments yours and then teasingly turns it on himself.}
Preparing for Penta was indeed a nerve wracking task. The air surrounding the team was thick. While, yes, we’re all confident in our abilities to face whatever No Man’s Land throws at us, it was still on the list of odd jobs.
We were walking out of Canvas Town. Spells freshly drawn on our backs and a starry eyed Remlin waving us a hearty goodbye from behind. We loaded back into the truck and settled in for the drive to Penta. Enjin and Zanka were sat up front talking about whatever it is they talk about. Riyo and Rudo took the two seats in the middle, while Tamsy, Dalmon and I were crammed in the back three.
“I envy you, Tamsy.” I said, picking at my nails nervously.
“Hm?” He hummed, opening his eyes and looking down at me.
“How can you be so calm?” I asked him, gesturing with my hand over his whole body. He chuckled softly at my question.
“I’ve been to Penta before. There’s not much about it that is unnerving to me.” He explained. I nodded slightly, not feeling anymore relaxed than before. Tamsy then went back to meditating or whatever it was he did with his eyes closed.
Once I had no more nails to pick, I reached up and pulled the hair tie from my hair, shaking my hair free of the odd flattened shape it had been morphed into. After it had settled, I began to run my fingers through it nervously.
“Does that help?” Tamsy said beside me. I looked up at him, halting my finger combing.
“I mean. It’s better than picking my skin or ripping my hair out of my head.” I told him with a nervous laugh. He smiled softly at me and reached up to take my hands out of my hair.
“May I?” He asked, moving my hands to rest in my lap. I nodded, and let his fingers comb through my hair. He even braided a small section of it. “Feeling any better?” I sighed, hoping that it was answer enough for him. He gave me a satisfied hum as he continued to brush through the strands.
“You look lovely this way.” He whispered. My eyes fluttered at his words. “But I do think my hair is lovelier.” I gasped and shooed his hands away.
“Tamsy!” I whined, sticking my tongue out at him teasingly.
Zodyl:
{I don’t really know to be honest. I feel like he would either be like, “That’s disgusting” or “Wear it like that, but only for me.” Ya know? One of those like, “that view is mine and mine alone” kind of guys.}
Having to meet with Zodyl was never an easy thing to do. All you can do is pray that he’s in a good mood. Who knows what he would do to you if he wasn’t. Which is precisely the predicament I was in. Rushing down the halls of this false Trash Beast, praying hard that he was in a good mood.
Cthoni had come to find me just as I was lying down for bed. She said that Zodyl needed to speak to me immediately. So here I was, wearing whatever normal clothes I could find, hair flowing behind me, barefoot, rushing to hear what he had to say.
I approached him, careful not to sneak up. He was just standing in front of what would eventually be the ‘eye’ of the creature we were standing in.
“You wanted to see me, Zodyl?” I said, slightly out of breath from my urgency. His hands came together behind his back just as he turned to face me.
“Yes.” He said simply. Once I stepped more into the only source of light in the small room, Zodyl seemed to freeze. Brows furrowed and gaze traveling painfully slow down my body. “What is this?” I swallowed hard, toying nervously with some hair that had draped over my chest.
“C-Cthoni caught me just as I was getting into bed. I’m sorry.” I told him honestly. He began to walk closer, hands now at his sides. I swallowed again, blinking back anxious tears as he reached up beside my face. Zodyl grabbed a section of my hair and dragged his hand down, letting it flow through his palm.
As it reached the end, he brought it up to his face and smelled it, causing my eyes to widen and my stomach to turn.
“Suddenly,” He said quietly. “I’m not entirely sure what it was I needed you for.” I felt a smirk tug on the right side of my mouth but I was quick to conceal it.
“I’m sorry.” I said, unsure of what else to say.
“No. No need for apologies.” He assured me. “This is a much welcomed distraction.” His hand travelled up to the base of my neck, grabbing a fistful of hair gently and pulling my head back. My heart skipped at the action. Then Zodyl leaned forward, his lips just inches from my right ear.
“No one gets to see you this way but me. Understand?” He whispered. His breath raised goosebumps on my skin. I nodded against his grasp.
“Yes, Zodyl.” I replied, feeling his fingers loosen their grip.
“Good.” He said simply. “Go back to your room. Once I remember what it was I needed you for, I will come find you myself.” I nodded and muttered a quiet ‘thank you’ before turning to go back to my room feeling completely star struck.
