I had heard of MSPaint Adventures before, and had seen some art when the previous stories were running. When I started reading, I didn't know Homestuck was a totally different story, and kept wondering when Problem Slueth would turn up.

About "Steven lashing out when he doesn't get his way." I think the first time we saw him /seriously/ mad, and the first time he was really pushed away and ignored, was in Lars and the Cool Kids. When Lars was insulting his mom, and not trying to help the slimed Cool kids. I don't really know what that means, but that moment really stood out to me, because it was the first time Steven ever /yelled/ at someone.
Yea, Steven seems to have a 'burst' type of anger, where he gets angry and explodes suddenly but immediately cools down. Which I think is common for children. I don't think he can sustain anger for long and seems to regret his actions immediately after.
But yea, Lars insulting his mom clearly pushed a button. I do wonder if the rage is from his Gem-half, because Greg is super chill but we've seen that Gems are all capable of extremely destructive anger. Not that Steven's expression of anger isn't totally realistic from a human standpoint, though. I'm just wondering if it may be significant
ennuidiscord said: Even if it delayed the start of your comic, you should’ve built up at least a little buffer. Barely any webcomics I know started with a single page… Five, at the least. Chapter at most. This is now a trial-by-fire. It is going to burn. =(
Delaying the start of the comic would have had a negative impact on the overall, though. This is a business for me and meeting the deadline was important: Starting it on the first allowed me to promo it at Boston Comic Con and will give me enough time to get into a schedule before I move. I had every intention of having a buffer (and I do have the first 30-40 comics written, just not drawn) but the aforementioned move cross-country, plus my day job, is making my schedule pretty jam-packed.
Besides, I work best when I'm under the gun. It's more the matter of challenging myself from three artistic angles at once that's got me kicking myself.
So just to clarify, you will be liveblogging about End of Evangelion, right?
Of course!
It wouldn’t be right to watch Evangelion and skip the ending, after all.
So I’m going to make a quick run through the Director’s Cut episodes and work on End sometime next week. Sounds like fun, at any rate.
It's really kind've funny how people think "well, I thought of a theory, so of course it can't be THAT obvious." As if trying to guess what comes next in Homestuck means that it's not going to happen. Homestuck isnt THAT random and trolling...
That liveblogger just pathologically underestimates how smart she is. She’s like the smartest liveblogger I’ve ever seen. NOBODY else gets as much up front as she does, and you can tell she’s not faking because of the depth of analysis she draws off each individual thing in the wrong directions, too!
(Lobac’s a she, right? I read somewhere she was a she…)
tigerator replied to your post:
why did you tag this ask with her username? you’re giving her confirmation, which is a spoiler!
I THOUGHT SHE DIDN’T SEARCH HER TAG?!? D’:
(I’ll delete the tag just in case, but I assume she doesn’t look up that sort of stuff, her ask-screening’s pretty tight. I asked for no spoilers on the reblogs because those’ll automatically show up on her dash no matter what she does, I’m afraid of accidental glimpses and such…)
Actually on second thought, I won’t. She made so many analyses and predictions, she’d have no idea what I’m confirming or saying is wrong even if she DID look at this. HA HA HA
