hi!! i got asked this a week or so ago and just never got to it until now :'> sorry lol
these might not be super good, for i am definitely not the best person to talk about relationships, but these two are my 1st and 2nd/3rd (enoch and fiona are tied for 2nd lol) favorite characters so i will gladly talk about them! im just certain that most of them can be seen in a platonic or romantic way 😋
☆ despite what riggs wants to imply, i think they would definitely grow closer together as at least friends at the end of tdoda and post canon; they were roommates! literally! if you think that they didnt at least grow a little closer in their time together all while there was chaos and violence and death and the potential for death to happen to them then you lost the plot 💔
☆ some more obscure post canon one's from here on out lol: i think enoch would really get into drawing and painting post canon, and crafting in general (making holumculi is already an art in itself), and we all know horace would expand his fashion empire...i like to think that horace would pitch his ideas to enoch and then he would draw them out/color them before horace then made the fit a reality. when horace figured out enoch could do this for him he absolutely does not leave him alone ("enoch i have a new idea come here") and enoch would absolutely complain ("ugh this is the third one today grumble grumble") but would go and do whatever horace needed anyways ♡
☆ while enoch has always been more prominent and out-there regarding his snarky and sarcastic nature, horace definitely is as well (he just does a better job of hiding it but i see right through the innocent facade...). i think while horace would influence some of the good in enoch, it would also go the other way...they get into a lot of mischief and little pranks and stuff like that (at the end of the day, they are tweens/young teenagers). they would place one of those little fake rubber spiders outside of claire's room and run around the hallway corner to wait and giggle like idiots 😭🥹 doesn't that sound so silly and cutie patootie lol. they've been caught a few times, and even when they aren't, they are typically the first to be accused (bonus! with horace around given his "good nature", they are always let off the hook better than if it was just enoch; unfortunately miss peregrine would catch on to that sooner than later).
☆ i like to think horace really enjoys making outfits for the people he loves, those being anyone in the house, including enoch. i think orginally, pre canon and even canon, he would make enoch these luxurious outfits that are way more of his style than enoch's, and enoch never really liked them. but post canon, horace learns more what enoch enjoys and doesnt, and tones down the pizzazz in the outfits he makes him (despite him really wanting to make them much more fancy than they are lol). i also think post canon, enoch would go out of his way to wear more protective things (aprons and gloves) to keep the outfits horace makes for him more clean, as where a pre canon/canon enoch wouldnt pay much mind. just little things like this i think really mean a lot to both of them.
☆ they are homebodies lol. i don't think if they were to go out, they'd want to go to some busy places, despite how nice they may be. i think they much rather would enjoy staying at least close to home, and somewhere quiet as well. i really think if they went on a date, one of their preferred spots would be an art museum. it's quite and calm, a setting that both of them like and are used to, there are elements both can enjoy (enoch the craft of the art and horace the designs of the art), and they can enjoy eachother's company without being too out there or showing pda (which both would not be too comfortable with/like all too much besides maybe a little hand holding). and then they go and get ice cream or something :)
☆ going with the pda stuff i said above, i don't think they'd want to be treated like they are in a relationship. as in, they don't want people to see them and think they are so cute together, and treat them as the same people just because they are together; they still want to be treated as themselves, because at the end of the day, they are quite different. because of this, and fear of being ostracized or even teased, if they were to get together they would keep it a secret for a long time, and im under the impression they would be good at keeping it a secret. horace is a good liar and enoch is good at being sarcastic and crass to the point where people don't want to ask him things lol. eventually it would be revealed, and they would be supported (everyone in that house is either queer or a super ally), but unfortunately still teased. they would have been regardless.
☆ i think theyd be very scared coming out to miss peregrine and miss cuckoo, despite the rumors that the two ymbrynes are together (in which the rumors would be true lol even if they deny them). i dont think they would be the first to come out, i think it would be bronwyn, but they wouldn't have any idea that she did. they would have done so together; i think they'd go to miss p's office, enoch would be the one to start the conversation but horace would have to be the one to actually say they are in a relationship. it would go super well though of course, and miss peregrine would ensure them that she loves and cares for them no matter what (even miss cuckoo, who wouldn't know them for nearly as long but would still be a unconditionally supporting mother to every one of them). maybe some tears are shed, idk, i love thinking of sweet family bonding moments between miss peregrine and any of her wards ♡
