OPEN RP: Key Troubles

"Ah, finally... the dorms..."

Teruteru was panting for breath at the top of the stairs, his luggage beside him as he gathered his breath together. After listening to the sound of his own gasps for a minute or so, he picked his luggage back up and stared at the doors.

Each one was marked with a small portrait of each student. The hallway seemed to be divided by gender - the girls on one side, the boys on another. Seeing the boys' side, he saw an array of characters before him; A pink-haired one, a gothic styled one with a scar across his eye, one with white hair - what strange students he was among...

Finally, he reached his door. He leaned against the door casually, placing his luggage beside him to fumble through his pockets, feeling for a key. He pulled it out, marked with a small slip of paper with "Hanamura" written on it. Sighing in relief to himself, he inserted the key into the lock.

Nothing clicked. He pulled out and tried again.

Didn't work.

He grumbled a few choice curse words to himself. He didn't want to ask for help - besides, he saw nobody in the hallway and he didn't want to have to drag his baggage back downstairs! But he just had to. No matter how many times he tried, he couldn't open his door. And he certainly couldn't pick it open - he wasn't that smart, and his mama taught him better than that!

"Hello... anyone there...?" He asked nervously. "I'm having some trouble... with my key... haha...."

Tanaka slumped against the door of his dorm room, defeated. It was just no use -- it was firmly locked, and he had lost the key. No spare key and no roommate meant he had nothing, no way of getting inside.

"Of all my earthly possessions to lose," he muttered to himself.

Sliding down onto the floor outside his room, Tanaka sighed. The hallways were deserted. He turned his head left and right, but there wasn't a single soul in sight.

At least, not a human one. A tiny, furry face poked out of his scarf.

"What is it, Maga-G?" he asked. The hamster snuffled on his face. "Hm? You think you could seek out my key?" Standing up, the hamster put its front paws on Tanaka's cheek. "It is... dangerous to go alone. You are powerful, but --"

He shook his head. I'm doomed, he thought, resigned to his fate.

Coffeehouse

Kirigiri sat alone at a table against the wall in the cafe on campus. She had a mildly hot coffee in front of her and a half eaten pastry. She liked her coffee black with two sugars, just to take away some of the bitterness. 

She blankly looked about the room at all of the smiling faces, the students on their laptops or cramming in homework, and the baristas scrambling about. She vaguely heard all of the muffled chatter in the building. 

Kirigiri took a sip of her coffee and stared over at the wall. She didn't realize someone had approached her until they sat down in the chair on the other side of her table.

"Oh, hello, I'm sorry. It's been a long day."

To Live Forever (Open rp)

"Haaah...More boring than I could have imagined.."

Junko sat back in her seat after the end of class. She thought coming in she would be able to enjoy herself quite a bit with the rest of the students here..possibly stir up a little trouble while she was at it, but everything seemed to just be going by. It all seemed just like a routine that was dragging on.

"Seriously..is there even a single interesting person here??" She kicked at the desk a little, letting out a long exasperated sigh, staring up at the ceiling. "Hummm...Maybe I need to kick up a little something to make this anything worth my time.."

Crowds were daunting.

        Navigating the halls of Hope's Peak Academy was challenging. The school housed an array of talented athletes and fighters, all of which she habitually attempted to analyze. Determining whether or not she could defeat them, should the time ever come that she need to unsheathe her blade at Bocchan's request. Albeit; she was asked to act the role of an ordinary student while they spent their days within the Academy's walls. Thus, she needed to find ways of which to spend her time. The dojo provided an excellent distraction-- as did her studies. The days were peaceful.

She'd learnt long ago to never take peace for granted.

        Deciding that it would be pointless to spend her day watching the whitewashed, lonely wall of her dorm, she escaped the confines of her room to venture in the library. Upon arrival, she found a catalogue filled with animals and cozied herself down in one of the comfortable reading chairs. Magazine spread open across her lap, she let her fingertips linger on the glossy paper over a kitten's soft coat of fur-- a usually sharp gaze softening considerably as she observed it. Initially cold to the touch, a mere photograph was nothing in comparison to the real creature itself. Saddening thoughts nestled within her, a yearning for something she would never be able to attain in this lifetime.

        She fantasized with a straight face about the kittens who came to play by the dojo when she was a little girl, the sparrow she had tried to raise. If only they hadn't bolted off in the opposite direction upon seeing her. If only they could curl up against her, let her admire their soft, warm fur...

        Mesmerized by her thoughts, Peko almost didn't notice that she had company. Upon catching the sound of footsteps, she immediately removed her hand from the page and tipped her head up to look at whoever it was that approached.

Open Starter

Come morning

Let us start each day with a pleasant meeting.

Certainly it was earlier than usual. A princess had to wake up at a fixed timing daily, and none too late at that, for the amount of activities per day to be complete is near endless. But today her mind arose her from slumber even earlier than normal - and she wasn't even in her palace in Novoselic. Or perhaps it was exactly because she wasn't in Novoselic? No, she was in a particularly special academy, the very reason why her excitement-induced mind denied her of rest. A good thing for her that there was no lessons to attend today, a date given to them to roam the school.

Unable to return to rest, she decided to prepare for the day, swiftly washing up and changing into her casual attire. She doubted anyone would be up yet, but hopefully she was wrong - it would be nice to have company. But just in case, she went over to her bedside and obtained the occult novel she was reading yesterday, before exiting the room and making her way down to the cafeteria.

To her surprise, the instance she opened the entrance to the said location, her eyes immediately landed on the sight of another, one who had arisen even earlier than herself and was lounging in the place. She was unfamiliar with who it was - she was unfamiliar with anyone here really. Nevertheless, she approached them with a smile on her face.

" A fine day to you! Might I have the pleasure of your company on this morning?"

x Afternoon || Open

The sun greeted him after his final class of the day.

Life inside of the school doesn't particularly make him feel isolated from the rest of the world, as most of the amenities of life were already presented readily for the Ultimates; a line of shops, an up to date bookstore, even a cafe and, of course the courtyard smack in the middle of everything.  There were a few picnic tables and side benches for the students to sit and converse in the acre or so of preserved nature.

However the massive oak tree was far more appealing to him, as it had the perfect combination of shade and sun peeking through its leaves, creating marvelous patterns on the grass around him.  Someone had already came up with the same idea, but the trunk was wide enough for two, maybe three people. Before he made himself comfortable (or tried to) he heaved the other backpack out of the way (god there must've been bricks in the thing) and plopped down.

Naegi placed his knapsack behind his back as a rest and put his hands behind his head, running a hand through his hair before inhaling and consecutively exhaling the crisp, autumn air. The sun was warm, the air was cool, the sky was clear, it was as if the day was made for him. As if it were a simple reward for enduring hours upon hours of being stuck in classroom after classroom that was as stuffy as the next.

He initially intended on pulling out the monster of a textbook from his bag and begin working on finishing an outline for literature, but the shade beckoned him to stay and the rustling of leaves lulled him to close his eyes and bask for a minute or two in serenity. It was..admittedly a little uncomfortable, but it was better than going right back to the dorms to spend the rest of the night doing god-knows-what. 'What was the homework again ? I should..probably look that up'

....The only thing that disturbed him was the crunching of leaves not too far away from him, a shadow passing over his small stature.
