ENTER126: Innards and Upwards a San Francisco Wunderkammer
SFAC Main Gallery will feature a rotating installation by Bay Area artist Alison Pebworth. Using the Wonder Cabinet (Wunderkammer) of the Renaissance as inspiration, Pebworth presents a large-scale cabinet of curiosities filled with cultural artifacts and bits of local history mined from San Francisco’s waste stream. This intricate Wunderkammer will change daily with its opening and closing of dozens of doors exposing hidden secrets.
