Well the story of the original image itself is that it was from some kind of samfrodo zine or website from like the early 2000s iirc

And when blazing was first added to this site tumblr user @/gay-pippin blazed it because its funny and awesome and i think its one of or the most blazed post ever at this point

and I think I had also just finished reading lotr at that time and so I decided to make it my banner

At that time my blogs color scheme was green and brown so it fit beautifully

But then I changed my URL to raspberrybluejeans and made everything red and blue and it did not work nicely anymore...... So I made some kind of post saying that I needed to find a new picture which was sad.

And then @ramblelifeaway sent me an ask with the blue filtered version and at first I was gonna use it as a temporary thing but it fits so nice that I've just left it lmfao

The other answer is that I fucking love hobbits and I love their hobbit love and sam and frodo are gay as hell 🙏

question about the Alaska cats, specifically the Oceanclan cats!! Since their patron god is The Sea Lion, how would they feel in seeing an orca, since they also hunt the sea lions?

I think orcas would almost be the equivalent of krakens or some other kind of legend for the Oceanclan cats, they are aware of their existence but sightings are so rare that there is very little clear or accurate information about them. They're very mysterious and embellished through stories, and kind of have a place in myth as an unimaginably ancient god, a manifestation of the sea itself, in all of its vastness and darkness and ferocity. To compare it to Greek myth it would kind of be analogous to the Titans' relationship to the main Greek pantheon: a precursor to the Sea Lion and much more powerful. So Orcastreak's name in these clans is kind of like a cat named Dragonstreak or some other mythological figure.

Ah!! A bird scientist!! I would have to say the same goes for me but in the opposite direction, I would’ve loved to study birds if fish and invertebrates and aquatic ecosystems weren’t so darn interesting (studying environmental and aquatic sciences myself, see).
