sometimes i get so deep into MK that i think about reaching out to this one guy that i absolutely hate just to have someone to talk to about it and i never do because i hate him so much, but. i think about it

For Alun, I believe she makes unrealistic problems more of an issue in her mind than the very real ones. Though normally as a character she doesn't really show or let through a whole lot when it comes to what she might be feeling.

The most frequent and noticeable would be her disapproval of themes and characters related to magick and of her own kin, though outwardly Alun seems to handle most things calmly, all of that goes quickly down the drain if she's interacting with a difficult personality aligned to either of those two themes. She'll be aloof and unfriendly towards most sorcerers of any kind - and though it's somewhat uncharacteristic of her, her anxiety is clear through her body language but also her temper gets incredibly more obvious than the norm.

Despite that, both those 'fears' are exaggerated when dealing with strangers - it's the result of past experiences enhanced by her own paranoia. Chances are she will likely not trust it regardless if the person is someone kind or trustworthy - in other words, she won't handle it well at all.

Now in comparison, things like her health or common dangers of Etheirys don't seem to faze her at all until someone else is involved - it's easier for Alun to get swept by if someone else is at risk around her even if it's not directly related to her. If it is linked to her in any way, then that's when she'll likely act without thinking to either deal with the situation quickly, or get that person out of harm's way.
