sometimes i wonder what if f1 had the same salary constraints/clarity as the nhl and other sports like we all know hamilton is getting paid ridiculous amounts of money at ferrari but i'm itching to know a driver's supposed term and actual dollar value. imagine it further with driver trades! ik this goes against team's entire things for building a culture around one driver but imagine 1 for 1 moves for drivers + maybe extra wind tunnel time or spare engine change outs for the next season. to know that anyone - not just the redbull drivers - can be gutted mid season and somehow finding yourself in an alpine and not a mclaren midway through just because you can't make it q3 and hey alpine need more development time and extra cash
