(OOC: Date [29-10-2016] Day[Saturday])
Today started off with the usual training I have come to expect of this camp. So I won’t go into detail and repeat myself again.
One I finished the usual I went back inside the barracks to collect some things. However Rakeshi was acting strange in his sleep. He looked highly disturbed in his movement and generally distressed. I woke him from his sleep figuring he would rather be awake than going through whatever his mind is showing him. On asking him some questions about what he was dreaming of, it became clear he was still being haunted by his past in Northrend fighting against the scourge. He says he is troubled of the people he lost in his past, and that this recent dream was about the loss of our warband in the lands of the north. He was highly distressed by this, sobbing over it. I tried to reassure him the best I could and get him back on his feet. I explained to him my own mindset of fighting on for those we lost. But I am unsure if voicing the mindset of an elf will be help for him. Regardless I will raise this issue with Ara’ni or maybe Zulago as I hear he is present in the camp. Or was recently.
I managed to calm him down before he left to train. As he departed, Taryane had returned from the cells. She expressed what she was doing to punish and assist Miss Sunjoy and Miss Sunshard. However she also expressed what she would do if they repeated their stupid actions once more. With hopes, the threat of having their ears trimmed will be enough to correct their behavior. Though I have no doubt Taryane will hold to her word, and it will be a shame for it to come to that. But I of all people know that if you make poor choices then you can become permanently marked for them.
Taryane lets to check her mail and deal with some things she needed too. I departed to find Rakeshi. I found him where I expected him to be training his skills with a sword. He had decided to pick one up and train with in during our time here. I offered to teach him the basics of using a two handed sword. He was not bad for a beginner and we trained for some time teaching him blocking and attacking. I told him of bad habits as he showed them so he no longer held them. Elder Sarues also assisting in the training, though on a more physical scale than sword play. Once the three of us were finished we departed to eat. Elder Sarues expressed his concern for his own health in his age. But I assured him his skill was fine enough, and the warband would be at his side for the times he needed it to be. Sarues departed for some rest as Miss Sunshard came on the radio. This drew me and Rakeshi down to the cells.
We arrived to find Taryane already there speaking again. I stood out of the way and left them both too it. I hid what I was feeling from my expressions so Miss Sunshard or Miss Sunjoy could not look to me for anything. This was between them and Miss Windblaze after all. They recited out history and answered the questions they had offered. Unfortunately during the talk, a side of Aelathdrin that I didn’t like seeing surfaced once more. Some time ago before the legion invasions took place, she took part in a silly game that got herself and a few others in trouble. I later found herself alone at a loss of all pride because of what she did. She was so ashamed of her actions and the image she painted on our race that she sat stunned by shame. It reminded me of what I once was. I saw this in her once more. It was a side I hoped to never see again. But with what has happened, it has come back. So once the cells were clear I spoke to her about it. I asked her questions to get an idea of what was going through her mind. I told her some of my own past for something for her to relate to and gave her my own opinions. I raised her confidence again and got her back on her feet. I told her to come to me when she feels lost and I will help her. I told her to remember what was said by both me and Taryane. As her and Fera will be released soon, I told them both to find me for training in the melee weapon of their choice and for catching up on what they have missed. I can also keep a close eye on them both this way. They both have to learn their lessons but if Aelathdrin starts to think like I did then she could need somebody there to put her back on track before she falls down that hole.
I left them both to eat and bathe before returning to speak to Miss Sunjoy specifically. She does not have the same issue. From what I can tell from her, she has too much pride to admit she is wrong and improve herself. With hopes she will see reason and make an effort to improve her attitude. By the time I was finished with my own line of advice for her, it was late and I needed to rest for the next day.
