Yesterday, President Trump signed an Executive Order establishing a framework for American companies to identify and retrieve offshore critical minerals and resources. The Executive Order prioritizes U.S. leadership in seabed mapping and mineral exploration, ensuring reliable access to critical minerals like manganese, nickel, cobalt and rare earth elements. Critical minerals are used in everything from defense systems and batteries to smartphones and medical devices. Access to these minerals is a key factor in the health and resilience of U.S. supply chains.

Flamingo Land evidently hopes that memories are short enough to try a whole new application after two years and hope people won’t notice enough to protest a second time.

This would seriously impact ancient woodland, limit free use of open land in an area really popular with ordinary people across Scotland, and increase traffic congestion and pollution in an area where those are already serious issues, all for corporate profit.

May I just say, fuck all these shapes.inc or whatever the hell ads I keep getting on here. Who is making these? I just saw one with the Murder Drones plushies in it and had to stop for several seconds just to process it and understand their inclusion. I hate genai, but I especially hate how so many lonely people (often men, but definitely not just men) are being taken advantage of and further isolated by companies telling them they don't need other people, they should just talk to an advanced predictive text model that'll tell them what they want to hear. There are so many fucked up things about genai, and this is only one, but I genuinely cannot fathom the people who say shit like "Well it may not be perfect, but it can be used for some really genuinely good things!"
