Dead Space - Chapter 6: Environmental Hazard

Environmental Hazard is the sixth chapter of Dead Space and takes place on the Hydroponics Deck. In this chapter, Isaac is in the Hydroponics Deck to fix the air quality because of the Wheezers poisoning the air. After killing all the Wheezers, Isaac resets the air filtration system on a control panel, opening the doors to the Food Storage. Isaac walks down the corridor to a door that is sealed shut. Isaac feeds the poison on the filtration system, killing the tentacles blocking the door, opening it. Microplastic debris floating in the world's oceans could be having a massive impact on marine life. Tiny bits of plastic rubbish are having an impact on lugworms, and other marine animals, which are an important source of food for other animals. There is concern that microplastics could harm human health as they move through the marine food web. Microplastics both absorb and give off chemicals and harmful pollutants. Wether it’s the net or the plastic our abandon garbage is killing marine life. Fishing nets like this one and other types of man made contraptions designed to catch marine life, when abandoned is capable of @GhostFishing. It is a phenomenon where caught fish die and in turn attract scavengers which will get caught in that same net, thus creating a vicious circle. @HealthySeas removes such waste, from the seas for the purpose of creating healthier seas and recycling marine litter into textile products.
