Powdered Activated Carbon Filtration
Powdered activated carbon filtration is an efficient deep purification technology widely used in water treatment and liquid refining industries. Adopting superfine powdered activated carbon as the filter material, it features a large specific surface area, developed mesoporous structure and fast adsorption speed, which can quickly capture organic impurities, pigments, peculiar odors and trace pollutants in various liquids to achieve clarification and purification effects.
In the filtration process, powdered carbon is evenly added to water or material liquid and fully stirred for sufficient contact. It mainly relies on physical adsorption to remove macromolecular organics, humus and harmful substances. After the adsorption reaction is completed, filter presses and other equipment are used for solid-liquid separation to separate carbon residue from clean liquid. Compared with granular carbon, it has a larger contact area and higher purification efficiency, ideal for short-term and high-precision treatment.
This technology is versatile in municipal tap water purification, industrial wastewater treatment, food, pharmaceutical and chemical liquid refining. It can effectively eliminate discoloration, odor and disinfection by-products, greatly improving liquid purity and water quality. With simple operation and flexible dosage adjustment, it has become a cost-effective and essential purification method in environmental protection and industrial production.
