Meet Style Blogger: Shevah Vahdatpour

It's kind of hard to ignore her Bad-a$$ Flair. 

Tell us a little about where you are from?

I’m originally from Orlando, Florida. I was born and raised in central Florida. Currently, I’m located in Los Angeles. I just moved about a month ago. 

What are some of your favorite places to shop in your country?

For the most part, I shop online, but when I venture outside of my living quarters I like thrifting, H&M, and Forever 21.

When did your love affair with fashion begin?

I think I’ve always just dressed the way I felt most comfortable. Growing up I was a tomboy. I remember when I was 5 my mom bought me a slough of bicycle shorts to wear to school. I refused to wear them because I only wore baggy pants and shorts. At this point, I wear whats comfortable but in a different sense. I wear what makes me feel good about myself. 

When and why did you start blogging?

I think I officially started blogging in 2010 but it was more random. I started it for fun. My best friend Nadia Aboulhosn and I used to take each other’s photos when we both used to live in Florida.

Tell us about your blog.

My blog is centered around my personal style. I take photos of my outfits as often as possible and share them with the world through the interwebs. I like to encourage my readers to wear what they feel like no matter what, try to be weather appropriate, and always keep an open mind about your personal style. 

What are some of your favorite things to blog about?

Well, I always blog about what I wear, but the best part about that to me, is being able to tell stories that tie into why I’m wearing something, or why I like wearing said thing. It’s usually an embarrassing anecdote.

What are some of your favorite shoe brands?

My favorite brands that I can’t afford yet are the classic YSL and also Acne. I also love Jeffrey Campbell for their ongoing ability to make high fashion trends more affordable and often times more wearable. Oh and Dr. Marten’s are just my go-to boots forever. 

Name some of your favorite shoe and clothing trends?

I love pointy toed heels (not overly pointy, just right) and ankle strap heels. Clothing wise, I’ve been into crop tops and high waisted items for a while now. I don’t think that’s going to change. 

Share some of your best moments, since you started blogging.

My favorite moment thus far was when I was featured in Bust Magazine in September 2012. It was a small feature but it was great to be included. 

Name a few pieces in your closet that you just can't get enough of?

I have a cropped motorcycle jacket that I’ll always be in love with.

by the way, i do actually play the guitar, not very well by an means, but i did teach myself so i will use that as an excuse. i like singing and strumming along when i'm feeling emotional. maybe one day you'll see :) orrrrr more likely you won't, cause i'm shy like that.
