A soft sigh escaped Roy’s lips as his eyes flicked to his office door before back at the man who was currently on his lap, grinding against him deliciously. Squeezing Envy’s hip gently, he rocked up against him, a dark eyebrow raised in amusement. “Because it’s my office, Envy. I’d rather not have someone walk in on us. Especially considering you’re a student.” He replied smoothly, leaning back in his office chair. Of course Envy would use that line against him; he had told him they could do it anywhere. That had been a mistake. “Can’t you wait until I’m done work? We can go home and do whatever you want there.”

“You’ve never-?” Envy gritted his teeth. “Look me in the face, Fullmetal. Do you know who I am? Or did you hit your head too badly on re-entry?” God, he hated this body. But…it was definitely the shrimp, and definitely a very confused look he was giving him. Something was up. He asked again, in a slightly lower voice. “Do you know who I am? Look closer.” He licked his lips nervously. Even if, somehow, Ed had forgotten this shape, he’d based his preferred form off of it in small ways. The shape of his eyes. The curve of his chin. He’d forgotten just how much, actually - and it stung to have this hated face feel so familiar.

What the fuck? How did... he hadn’t been called that in a long while, but it was enough to give him pause and piss him off all at once. “Don’t fucking call me that,” Ed seethed. It stung more than he wanted to admit.

“Yeah... you remind me of my piece of shit father...” Obviously, this guy wasn’t going to let it go no matter how much Ed kept telling him they didn’t know each other. He pushed the man back in another attempt to break free of his hold. “But I’ve never seen you before, asshole, and even if you’re related to that dickhead, it’s got nothing to do with me.”  Al was his only blood family as far as he was concerned. It didn’t help that this guy had said he killed him a few times before. Why in the hell would he want to stick around and find out who this man was?

His body still ached after crashing into a pile of garbage. Even after he stood up and attempted to brush himself off, his back and legs hurt like hell. All things considered, it could have been worse. Ed was surprised his body hadn’t been torn apart, and as disgusting as it was, he was grateful something other than hard cement had broken his fall.

But where the hell was he? This didn’t look anything like Amestris. The buildings and streets looked all wrong. Before he had a chance to leave the alley he was in, an unfamiliar voice caught his attention. Killed him three times? Ed turned his head to tell whoever was bugging him to piss off. They obviously had the wrong guy. “I don’t know what the fuck you’re–” Ed took a step back and swallowed down the weird lump that had formed in his throat. The guy talking to him looked an awful lot like… no that wasn’t possible was it? His old man had lived a long time. Long enough that it was possible he had had other kids but… “Who… the fuck are you?”

The tone almost made Ed sick but for some reason he couldn't put a name to anymore, it didn't. It was almost soothing, reassuring, exciting to hear that tone slip out carrying Envy's words. A small part of him remained that begged him to take it back, to tell Envy not to kill anyone. Plead with them, beg, say it was just a figure of speech. He couldn't even bother to care or pay it mind now though. Something to brush aside and let wither away in some secluded corner of his mind gathering cobwebs with other things he decided had no use for him at this point. Apparently, there was no bottom to the pit he'd fallen into years ago with his first mistakes. The light from the top probably couldn't even be seen anymore.

His hand lifted as he leaned back against Envy, almost feeling numb and bored with the decision. One finger pointed off down a street, moving from one to the next in smooth, slow sweeps, "eenie....meenie....miney.....mo." he looked down the street and let his hand fall, "...surprise me."

Icarus was just destined to burn.
