The boy exhaled a soft growl as he dropped into a squat before the other’s pathetic ‘mark’. Something Wrath himself had forged from a large rock and paint; After all, who else was going to make a headstone for .. Envy..
Here he was, alone, the last of his kin as he knew it. Gluttony was far from the youngest’s thoughts, his flee was done without a mind, he was farther from them than he had been even before Dante severed his conscience. As far as Wrath was concerned, he too, was dead.
Why did he come here? To stare at a poorly made memorial to his closest brethren, to curse his name for leaving him in such a wretched state, as this mechanical halfling he was now. For leaving him- For leaving. He was alone. Utterly.
Crooked teeth bit down on a pallid plume as he felt the bitter sting of tears stabbing his heliotrope orbs. “You bastard…” What an utterly depraved few years they had, the beatings, the feigned kinship, their twisted little honeycomb. And now look at them. Look at this mess. “How could you..Do it.. How could you just go and..” He had slipped onto all fours, fists curled in the grass beneath them trembling with unabashed rage as he barked his despair at the makeshift grave as though it were Envy himself. “HOW COULD YOU JUST LEAVE ME HERE!” He no longer had his Alchemy, nor his ‘Mother’, nor any hope of moving forth from this despicable hollow form. Stasis.
“You took- Away- My only- Chance!” His words were puncted by the tearing of blade and soil, followed by its upheaval behind the boy’s crumpled form. “And then you left me here alone!“
His torso erected as his head was thrown back with the force of the earsplitting scream that erupted from the lithe chambers of the adolescent Homunculus. “I hate you! I HATE YOU!” God awful sobbing pervaded as, again, Wrath slumped forward onto his hands, tears spilling over and darkening the rock with every drop. “–Why.. Did.. You.. Leave.. Me.. Here..”
The only response he received was the cold indifference of a stone with the word, ‘Envy’ scribbled thereupon.
