Unfortunately, until Islam is reformed, there will never be peace in the Middle East. Islamic Law dictates that non-Muslims submit to Islam or be killed. Submission to Islam comes in the form of either conversion or acknowledgeing Sharia Law as the one, true law of the land which will require any non-Muslim to pay the jizya (poll tax for being non-Muslim living in a Muslim land).
