People have built the individual before, you may well have built it before, it is difficult but so is love, and so is communism, but you're not going to give up on love or communism are you? That's the point.

I don't know everything about her life, so I could be entirely wrong. She could be, behind the scenes, advocating for fair wages for her co-stars in television shows and whatever. But based off of what we know, that's not the case.
Neida Teresa - Of course Ariana Grande isnt a "girl's girl" | a stan perspective [x]
Everyone should be more direct, we should say what’s weighing on us. Why do we make things unnecessarily complicated, make our lives less eventful and more stressful. Fill it with a silence of wondering, not saying what we feel, staying in our own head in a spiral that drowns us in the bottomless ocean of the destructiveness of our own mind, and being unable to see the way out. The lifebelt on the surface someone else could easily see. Because they’re not drowning with you, because we all drown in our own oceans. That’s why it’s easier to see another person’s way out than your own. Maybe that means we’re meant to help eachother more than we’re meant to help ourselves. Almost like we’re made for community, not this radical individualistic isolation in western society.
Tumblr users will say shit like "man I hate my family and how much power they have over me and how they abuse that power" and "man I hate my religious community and how much power they have over me and how they abuse that power" and then they'll turn around and say "individualism is poison; the collective is everything; the individual is nothing."
Boyo, your anti-family politics is individualism. Your anticlericalist politics is individualism. Arguably, your anti-employer politics is individualism. Your belief in human rights is individualism!
Yeah, no man (or other) is an island. Yeah you are powerless on your own. But come on! You're a fake collectivist!
The Disruption of Community
I don't just have a problem with racism but racialism in general. I believe upholding those categories is wrong. I have a real problem with leftists organising their entire identity around this kind of tribalism instead of striving for equality and individual freedom. Race is a lie invented to justify a false hierarchy and kept alive long past any excuse for it, and yet so many people who know this still organise their politics around it.
I reject racialism in all its forms, be it the racism of supremacists or the racialism of those who sort humanity into competing tribes in the name of progress, because those are two sides of the same coin.
Any kind of ideology built on group identity will always betray the individual, as it's designed to do.
